Our prior careers and upbringings led us overseas for the start of our adult lives. Mix that into family and it creates a strong family unit. We have eaten just about everything, experienced stress during the worst of times, gone without sleep in extreme environments, and because of it, fully appreciative of all life's blessings. Giving up that life and settling our roots to Virginia was the best decision we have made, and we cannot wait to become first-time parents!
PATIENT, KIND, GOOFY, LAIDBACK, AND GIVING ARE SOME OF THE WORDS I WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE MORGAN. My husband loves the simple things in life, like growing blueberries in the backyard, sitting on the dock at my parent’s home catching fish, hiking with his father in Pennsylvania, or just sitting in pajamas with the dogs and me watching a TV show. He is a wonderful “dog dad” and shows me daily his commitment is not only to me, but also to our little fur family. His sense of humor is the first thing I loved about him, and we still laugh every single day. Because of his attitude, he is my calm when things get stressful, and I know I can always turn to him for support. Bonus to being married to Morgan is he is an amazing cook and makes a legendary spinach dip! The thing I love most about him is that he always keeps the promises he makes and always follows through. He shows consistency in everything he does, even the little things, and provides a strong foundation for our family, and always shows me I can trust him.
COMPASSIONATE, LOVING, GIVING, AND A FIERCE PROTECTOR ARE A FEW WORDS I USE TO DESCRIBE WHITNEY. I see Whitney as the only one in my life who understands who I am. She is fiercely loyal and will do anything for people she considers her friends and family (including our dogs, which she treats like tiny humans). Whitney cracks me up with how protective she is of the dogs; she will most definitely be a “momma bear”. What started as a friendship and morphed into a complete partnership, one where it is truly us against the world. My greatest achievements in life happened because Whitney pushed me to try and experience things outside of my comfort zone. She was in my corner regardless of the outcome, and has been my rock through life. Our relationship is full of happiness, laughter, and a few barking dogs. Some of my favorite moments are catching Whitney singing to a country song in the kitchen, or her “dancing” on our road trips. She has compassion not just for our family, but for everyone, even complete strangers. My favorite moment with her was when she first introduced me to buying for families in need through the Salvation Army at Christmas. We filled three carts full of clothes and toys. Her heart is so big, she always puts others' needs before her own.
