Also referred to as a private situation, the expectant mother came to Adoption For My Child directly and has asked us to help find her a family. She is not currently represented by an adoption professionals and therefore, if you are selected as the chosen family, you may request that your agency and/or attorney finalized the adoption (in most cases). Independent/Private situations tend to be more affordable – in the $10-$15k range.

Typical estimated fees usually include the cost of your agency or attorney, ICPC fees, counseling/therapy (if she needs it), expectant mother expenses (rent, utilities, maternity clothes, general living costs, medical care) and your hotel/travel cost if adopting from a different state than the where the mother is located.
