About Matt

By Ali: Matt is a wonderful husband and father. We work, play, and laugh together daily. He is my rock and he never ceases to amaze me. He's compassionate yet strong. He's loyal and honest. He is an amazing father and our son adores him. If I ever doubt myself or get discouraged, he is always there. We always strive to fulfill each other’s needs. I love this man and can’t imagine my life without him. The bond we share is truly a gift.

I feel very fortunate to be married to her and have her in my life. She goes above and beyond as a mother to make our son feel loved. Our Home

We’ve made our home in a small town about an hour away from a large metropolitan area. We bought and renovated our house in 2011 with two things in mind; a place to make a lifetime of memories together, and a fun and safe place to raise kids. We live in a family oriented neighborhood, with playgrounds and the elementary school less than a mile from our home. There are many amusements and adventures within driving distance. Our home is two stories and has 3 bedrooms. Our favorite place in our house is our large family room because it is set up for family fun! We couldn't imagine a better place to raise our family.

Our Pets

We have two dogs. One is a 3 year old black Labradoodle who is super sassy and spoiled. She enjoys being the center of attention but can be so sweet. Our other is a one year old white Goldendoodle who has the most loving temperament we've ever seen in a dog. She truly is the sweetest dog who enjoys her cuddles. We love taking them on their daily walks around our neighborhood. They are very sweet to our son and love being around younger children as well.

Our Family

We're truly blessed with an overabundance of family support:

Matt's family is very close-knit and love to get together as much as possible. Matt's mom is a huge support for both Matt and Ali. Ali looks up to her and considers her a second mom. Carter loves to visit "Granny's House". He also loves spending time with his cousins. Matt's two brothers live close and have two daughters, who Carter adores. We frequently see them whether it is getting together for birthdays, holidays or swimming at "Granny's" pool. We even vacation together every couple of years.

Ali's family doesn't get to see each other as much as they would like. Her mom passed away when Ali was just 20 years old. Ali's sister lives 30 minutes away and has seven children.

Our Traditions

As a family we have many traditions. We look forward to them each season. We host a variety of events at our home throughout the year. Our town has a local festival every August and it happens to be in our backyard so we invite friends and family over to watch the parade and enjoy the day's festivities. We also host an annual backyard bash in the spring where we have lots of friends and family over to grill burgers and play yard games. Our favorite family tradition is our yearly beach trip we take to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We usually go with family and share a condo. It is our favorite place to travel.

Carter

Carter is 8 years old and is in the 2nd grade. He is very goofy and never fails to make us belly laugh. He loves math and animal facts. He spends most of his time at home playing outside or with his two doodle pups. He has been asking for a sibling since he was old enough to talk and is very excited to be adding to his family. He is very compassionate and sweet and they know he will be the best big brother.
