Hello there, our names are Jeffery and Dakota Clarkson. I know you do not know us and we do not know you. But we have a few promises we would like to share with you. We promise to love your child as our own. We promise to nurture and care the rest of his or her life. Your child will always know where they came from and your sacrifices. They will always know how much we appreciate you and what you went through was not easy. We cannot wait to give your child a stable loving home. We are simple, open and caring people. We always knew we were going to be parents and we sincerely thank you because without you we would not have the chance to become parent. Thank you for reading. We hope to meet your expectations.
Dakota is age 26 and is very healthy. She is caring, loving and kind hearted. Dakota works for a foster care agency in Kansas. She enjoys riding horses, rescuing animals, crafting and being social with her friends. Dakota is looking forward to being a mother because she loves the little things like sleepovers, first moments and school parties (she loves to bake and cook). She is ready to grow her family.
Jeff is age 28 and is in good health. He is very goofy, caring, dependable and lovable. Jeff works for the county as an equipment operator. He enjoys being outside, riding horses as well as four wheelers, working cattle and playing with the dogs. Jeff is very hard working. Him and his father own a cattle business together. When asked about adoption Jeff is ready to be a father. He is wanting someone who will help with his cattle business and to be able to pass it on down to his children just like his grandfather did with his father and that Jeff's father will do for Jeff.
Jeff and Dakota live in Kansas. The home is newly built and ready for family dinners, holiday activities and much more. The house sits on 10 acres, but there is a lot more room to ride horses and 4 wheelers around. The home is 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath and a 1 car garage. They will be building a shop and barn in the near future.
The nursery has been started but still needs set up. We have almost everything bought and we are fully ready.
Our pets are just like family. We have 2 dogs and 3 horses. First one that came into our life is Pad. He is a Australian Shepherd and is 3 years old. Pad is great with kids and just loves to cuddle. Second is Kane and he is also 3 years old. He is very hardworking just like Jeff. His breed is Short hair Border Collie. He is very well mannered and loves working cattle. Mona, Penny and Rain are all three rescue horses. They are beautiful, well mannered and tame. The Clarkson's decided to rescue the horses from the kill pen in Kansas. Mona is the quite one age 12. Rain is the spunky one and age 10. Penny is very lovable and age 13.
Both Jeff and Dakota love spending time with family.
Jeff's mother and father live just a few miles from the home and they see them often. Jeff's family gets together almost every other Sunday for dinners. Jeff and his father have cattle together. He has one sister.
Dakota grew up about 30 minutes away from where she lives now. Her family gets together often. It is usually at grandma house because their is no place like grandma's! Dakota has a twin sister and three half brothers.
Some of the traditions that Jeff and Dakota like to keep alive is going on a yearly fun vacation that when they do adopt they would like to keep doing. It always has to be somewhere new because they would like to see as much of the world as they can. Jeff and Dakota are excited to take these trips as a bigger family someday.
Jeff and Dakota met June 5th, 2015 at a rodeo. Jeff asked Dakota if she wanted to dance and the rest was history. They both decided to start dating right before Thanksgiving that same year. Dakota can still remember Jeff asking what he should call her because they both invited each other to their family Thanksgivings. Jeff and Dakota got married April 29th, 2017. They started trying to have children after experiencing a miscarriage in 2016. Jeff and Dakota went to fertility doctors and continued to have no luck on conceiving. October 2018 they had another miscarriage and then in April 2019 an ectopic pregnancy that took Dakota's left fallopian tube. After this Jeff and Dakota decided to explore having a family through other avenues and decided adoption was the best choice.
