Sean & Denise
– Washington –
Hello! Hola! Konnichiwa!Sawat Dee! We are Sean and Denise and this is our story. We were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. Over the next year, our love for each overcame the 84 mile commute between our homes and we were married in 2008. When it was time to start a family, that journey also overcame a great distance but we were blessed to bring Jameson into our family through the gift of adoption! We are excited to be adopting again – we know what a privilege it is.
We own a one-story cozy 1500 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. We have a nice fenced backyard and front yard for lots of family activities. We live close to Sean’s work, so he has a short commute home every night to spend more time with the family. We live in a diverse community due to living close to a Naval Base. The baby’s room will be next to Jameson’s room and we have a crib, changing table, and all needed baby gear ready to go! We are less than a 10 minute drive from many different parks, our church, the ferry that goes to Seattle, the YMCA, and Sean’s work.
Denise has a mother, father, step mother, and two brothers - one older and one younger. Her older brother has three children and they live about 2 hours away. Her younger brother has one child and they live about an hour away.
Sean has a mother, father, two older brothers, one younger brother and one younger sister. He has four nephews and five nieces! Sean has spent a lot of time over the years perfecting his uncle skills. Hi family all lives in New Mexico which makes for an easy annual vacation spot.
God blessed us with the adoption of our son, Jameson. He was adopted at birth in Michigan. Raising Jameson has been our greatest adventure yet! He is a very active and adventurous little boy. We are very open with Jameson about the fact that he is adopted. We teach him about his adoption through story books, movies, and having candid discussions with him at appropriate times. As he gets older we will share more about his adoption story and his birth mother.
