Dear Expectant Mother, First, we want to express that we cannot imagine the challenge you are going through right now, and that we support any decision you make for your child and for yourself. As we are going through our adoption journey, what's primary and most important to us is that you are respected, appreciated, and considered throughout this process. We know that the greatest hopes and dreams for our family are not without cost to you and yours. Our dreams of adopting to start our family began even before we were married. We chose to say our vows with our closest family and friends right in our backyard so we could have that treasured memory in our home for years to come. Many times that day, and often since, we reminded each other of our dream to watch our children play in that same special place in the yard. There is a shady tree that seems made for a tire swing, and our old apple tree is a great height for climbing or making a little treehouse. The garden is full of snacking veggies every summer, and all that's missing is a little one to run around and make joyful messes. Our hope and goal is that you find the right path for you. If that includes giving us the opportunity to be parents, we will be overjoyed, and proud to raise them to be strong, independent, resilient, and compassionate. We'll also make sure they know how to pick worms in the garden, climb trees, go fishing, and roast a perfect marshmallow over a campfire.
