We are Chris and Alexandra from Denver, Colorado. After two years of unsuccessful fertility treatments, we are excited to adopt. Adoption has always been an option for us since Alexandra was adopted as a newborn to an incredible family. We’ve been together for 8 years and married for 4. We live with our furbaby in a family friendly neighborhood, directly across from a park. We have family nearby with young kids (3 nieces). We travel often, visiting Florida and LA to see family and friends. Alexandra works from home as a digital marketing manager and Chris is a general retail store manager; we are financially stable. We love to cook, hike, camp, travel, explore new cities and just have fun! Our life is already blessed with so much love and laughter, and want to share this with your child.
Chris was born and raised in Los Angeles. He has one older brother, younger brother and sister. He grew-up in a large and loving El Salvadorian/Latino family and speaks Spanish fluently. He loves to watch and play sports. His favorites are soccer, football and basketball. Chris is friendly and outgoing, spontaneous and loves to make people laugh. He's a big kid at heart and loves being silly with his 5 nieces and 1 nephew. He’s great at playing family games, like Pictionary and Heads Up. His favorite movie is Ace Ventura and Aladdin. Chris works for a national telecom company for 7 years as a general retail store manager. He makes his own schedule to work 5 days a week. He enjoys coaching and developing his team to help them reach their career goals.
Alexandra was born in Colombia and adopted as a newborn. She grew up in New York with her loving parents and one older brother. She has never met her birth mother, but is so thankful for her courageous decision to give her an incredible life through adoption. Alexandra is learning to speak Spanish so their child can be fluent. She loves cooking all sorts of foods and meals for friends and family. She also enjoys pilates, crafting, and planning for the next family trip. Her favorite TV show is Friends and Top Chef. Alexandra is also outgoing and loves to make people smile. She is a digital marketing manager at a global company for 7 years, and works from home M-F. She enjoys being creative and collaborative with her team of colleagues.
We live in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home in a friendly family neighborhood with a great school district. We have a large family room, kitchen and backyard. Our house is directly across from the small neighborhood park with slides, swings and an open field.
The nursery is currently being updated. It is the bedroom across the hall from the master. It has an adjacent bath. Pics to be provided shortly.
Sunny is our 8 year old Chihuahua furbaby. She is lovable, friendly, and protective of our family. She is great with our young nieces. She loves walks, belly rubs and playing with her toys. She and Chris even pay hide and seek.
We both have loud and loving families!
Chris's brothers are both married with three kids. His sister lives at home with his mom and step-dad. He has a large extended family of cousins that we are close with and see in LA a few times a year. His older brother, wife and 3 kids live a few miles away. We have a great relationship with them and see them weekly.
Alexandra has a smaller family, with one older brother who lives by her parents in Florida. She is very close to her brother and parents and sees them often in Florida. She has cousins in different states and tries to see them at least once a year.
Both families get along very well. Our parents often call each other to check-in and say hello.
We are so excited to be parents. We want to bond with your child right from the start. Alexandra will be taking 12 weeks from work and Chris will take 4 weeks to be at home. We are already enrolled at a daycare that's 5 minutes from our house, where our young niece is currently going. Daycare will be 3-5 days a week, given Chris has a flexible schedule and Alexandra is off on weekends. Alexandra plans to visit at her lunch hour and pick-up at 4:30pm so they can have quality time in the evenings. Chris plans to take a weekday off each week to have quality dad time while Alexandra is working. Alexandra is excited to take part in baby yoga and mommy and me classes.
