Hello! We are Danny and Jodi. We have been happily married for 10 years. After a long road of infertility, we became parents through the blessing of adoption in 2016. Our three-year-old daughter, Ellie, has brought so much joy to our lives. We would love to give her a sibling more than anything and to complete our family with this adoption. Ellie is our whole world, but we can say without a shadow of a doubt that your child would be our absolute everything too. If you choose to bless us with both the honor and privilege of adopting your child, please know that not a second will go by that your child isn’t loved, cherished, nurtured, adored, supported, and listened to in every possible way.
Danny is 35 years old and works in Sales at a millwork and cabinetry company. He loves being a Dad to Ellie. Together they like to build with toys, go on lawnmower rides around the yard, jump on the trampoline, and cook supper. Danny has a great passion for watching and playing sports. He is a big fan of Wisconsin sports teams (Packers, Badgers, Brewers) and the Chicago Bulls. Danny enjoys mowing lawn, tending to our yard, and tinkering around the house. He loves to watch movies and play video games.
Jodi is 35 years old and works as a 4K teacher. Her absolute favorite thing in the whole world is being a Mom. She is fortunate to have holidays and summers off to spend with Ellie. Jodi enjoys baking and doing crafts with Ellie and has a blast attending a weekly Parent-Tot gymnastics class with her. Jodi loves to decorate, online shop, watch Reality TV (especially The Bachelor and Bachelorette TV series), be outside (tending to the yard and her flowers, going on walks, and swimming), and loves to listen to country music and attend country concerts and festivals.
We live in a rural community in central Wisconsin (population 1,500). Our home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. We own three “city” lots so we have plenty of outdoor space to run, play, and explore. We love to spend time outdoors playing on the swing set, swimming in our pool, jumping on the trampoline, and playing yard games! We have fantastic neighbors and many of them have young children that Ellie enjoys playing with. Our town has a wonderful school system, three parks, and numerous walking/bike trails.
We are waiting to set up our baby’s nursery until he/she arrives. We have all of Ellie’s nursery furniture in storage and plan to utilize that for the new baby, yet will purchase all new bedding and accessories. Jodi loves to decorate, and has lots of “ideas” on how to create the perfect room for our new bundle of joy! We intend to have the baby sleep in our room in a bassinet for the first couple months, yet he/she will have their own room after that.
We have one Betta fish named Nemo! :)
We love getting together with our immediate and extended families to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other random gatherings throughout the year. Our gatherings generally involve a nice meal, the company of each other, games, laughs, and lots of fun! We are very fortunate that most of our family lives local so we get to see them lots. Danny has one brother, Ryan. He and his wife, Laura, have 2 boys, Jacob (age 11) and Joel (age 8). Jodi has one sister, Jill. She and her husband, Joe, have a son named Aiden (age 11).
In addition to celebrating holidays and birthdays with our family and friends, these are some traditions we enjoy each year as a family:
Fall: Apple Orchard, Pumpkin Patch, carving pumpkins, Trick-Or-Treating around our neighborhood
Winter: baking Christmas cookies, Santa visits, horse-drawn sleigh rides, sledding, Winter Wonderland, Disney On Ice, Grand Lodge Indoor Waterpark
Spring: community Easter egg hunt, dying Easter eggs, flower planting, Children’s Festival
Summer: fairs/festivals, concerts, 4th Of July Parade, Shrine Circus, Noah’s Ark Waterpark, Bay Beach Theme Park, Wildwood Wildlife Park
