Introduction

Thanks for taking the time to read about us! We are Mitchell and Heather. We have one daughter Ella (9) and three sons, Bentley (7), Parker (4) and Thatcher (2). Mitchell and I are high school sweethearts together 17 years and married 13. We have wanted to adopt for a long time! We have a home with three acres at the end of a dead end street. We have three Goldendoodles and chickens. We love to spend time together, and our kids are actively involved in sports and the gymnastics team. We pray that you will consider us! We aren't perfect, but know your child will be loved infinitely and ALWAYS provided for! Our kids are so excited at the thought of a new sibling!

About Heather

I am a stay at home mama to my four sweet kiddos. I chose to stay home with them because I don't want to miss out on them growing up. I love to go to church, hang out with my mama friends for play dates and mom's night out, read a good book, and play outside for hours with my kids. I enjoy home decorating, and cooking too! I am not perfect in any way, but my kids know they are loved and always have hugs and kisses when they need them, and even when they don't! I can promise you as one mama to another, I would love your child the same as I love my biological children. I know what its like to want your kids protected and loved, and that I will always do!

About Mitchell

Mitchell is the most selfless, caring, optimistic person there is. He puts being a husband and father as his top priority. He spends very little time doing anything for himself. He also enjoys occasionally playing golf and basketball. He loves to teach the kids how to build things, garden, play games and legos with them, and show them how to do anything else they desire! He has spent time coaching their sports games, and never misses an event. His friends and family always confide in him and ask him for advice because he has a giver's heart. He's truly the most loving man I know and our kids know they can always count on him and come to him with anything they need. He would provide for, love and protect your child always.

Our Home

Our house is for sure home to us! We have three acres, and last year we added on a large playroom, and master bedroom. My(Heather's) dad, actually built our home when my mom was pregnant with me. He used to build homes, so its pretty neat he didn't know at the time he was building the home that would be for his kids. We have six bedrooms, so one is waiting for our forever child! We have put a lot of love and hard work into our home. Most of the work we have done, we have completed ourselves. My (Heather's) parents live right through our field and they have an additional five acres. It was my childhood home my whole life. We built our large deck last year which has been so fun for friends and family gatherings!

Our Pets

Our Goldendoodles are the most gentle and loving animals! The kids use them as pillows and love to chase them outside! They are non shedding and have a very tender disposition. The younger two are sisters. They are named Hope, Oakley and Ruby. The kids also enjoy playing with our egg laying chickens and gathering eggs. We let them go out every day and collect the eggs in the basket.

Our Family

Most of our family lives in our same town, and not too far away. Nana and Papa are Heather's parents, and Mormor and Papa Phil are Mitchell's. Mitchell has three brothers, and one sister. He is the fourth child out of the five.Heather has one younger brother. Our family is very supportive of our choice to adopt. They couldn't be more excited to add another child to our family. We have actually been a foster family, and they supported us in every aspect of that. We do not take for granted how fortunate we are to have so much love and help from our family. We also have friends who are as close to family to us as you can get.

Our Traditions

We love celebrations and traditions. It's all about family time together. We have big birthday parties for our kids, we do Easter egg hunts in spring, pumpkin carving, fall festivals, trick or treating, and hay rides in the fall. At Christmas the kids each have a six foot tree to decorate in their own bedrooms which they look forward to all year, and we have a real flocked tree in our living room. The kids each save money and get each other a gift they open on Christmas Eve and we do sugar cookies. Christmas morning we wake up and open gifts, then head to family events for the day. We really enjoy having these traditions with our family. We have so many wonderful memories from them, and we can’t wait for the fun in the future!

What led us to want to adopt?

I (Heather) have wanted to adopt since I was in high school. I talked about it with Mitchell even then, and he wholeheartedly agreed. We have been a foster family which was such a challenging and rewarding experience. Our kids provided so much love and friendship to the sweet kids we have had in our home, but it was so sad to say goodbye. We knew through that process, that a domestic adoption is what fits our family. Knowing we have this child that is a part of our family forever, brings us so much excitement! Our kids can't wait to have one more sibling! We are so hopeful for when we are the chosen family of a mama who will hopefully trust us, and in time learn that we are a family who is loving and true to our word.
