Darin was born into a military family and he has lived in different parts of the US. His family finally settled down in Northern VA where Darin met some of his best friends. Although he went to college thinking he'd be a lawyer, he took an interest in education and hasn't looked back.
Education has become his passion. In every education role he's had (from teacher to Chief Operating Officer), his goal is to make sure that every child is able to get a great education.

Family has always been a central part of Nikki's life and caring for children comes naturally to her. She grew up the oldest of 5 first cousins (all girls) and has a sister who is 16 years younger and all who she frequently to take care.
Nikki fulfilled her dream and became a NICU nurse where she cared for tiny little babies so that they would grow and thrive and be able to go home with their parents.

We've lived in for Richmond for the last couple of years now. Our neighborhood has lots of kids and young families. We often get together with our neighbors so the kids can play together.
We chose the home because it felt warm and inviting and perfect for our family. It has 4 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on the 2nd level, a large open family room and kitchen, as well as a large basement.
We have a bright sunny room next to ours. We already have the crib and changing table. Just waiting for our special blessing!
We love to travel and the beach is our favorite place to go!
Marshall has changed our life in the most amazing ways. He truly is the best of us. He's incredibly warm and generous and has a great sense of humor. He loves building things, playing sports, going outside, and Tae Kwon Do. We love watching him grow into his personality over the last few years and he's so excited about being a big brother! It's all he talks about (besides football).
