Thank you so much for considering us to be the adoptive parents of your precious baby. Our hope is that as you look through these pages, you will find that we are a fun, loving, Christian family that seeks the Lord. He has led us on this journey of adoption, and we are excited and ready to answer His call.
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Our story began on Valentine’s Day of 2002 when we started dating. We were both fifteen years old and freshmen in high school. After a short while dating, it was apparent to both of us that this was more than a just a “fling.” We stayed together all through high school and a two-year long distance relationship while Caleb was away at college. In August 2007, we got married on a gorgeous summer day. We had a very simple, outdoor wedding at Caleb’s parents’ house. We are now both thirty-one years old and have been married for eleven wonderful years. We have adopted two beautiful children. Grayson is almost 6, and Oakley just turned 4. We have very open adoptions with both of their birth families and we are eager to add another little one to our growing family.
ABOUT CALEB (FROM JESSICA)
Caleb is very practical and likes to do things the right way. He is patient, kind, and supportive. His most defining characteristic would have to be his sense of humor. He is the jokester of the family—always laughing and playing around. Caleb is also very smart and analytical. He worked tirelessly to earn his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in six years. Caleb also has plenty of energy, which he has proven by keeping up with all of the little ones in our extended family. He does an amazing job of teaching and guiding our children through life. He is a great role model and father!
ABOUT JESSICA (FROM CALEB)
Jessica is such a beautiful person. She has a caring heart and sweet personality. She is always nurturing and loving on little ones no matter whom they belong to. Jessica is also very independent and strong-willed. This is a big reason why I was initially attracted to her. She thrives on doing things herself. Jessica can be quiet and soft-spoken; however, if she is in her comfort zone then she is very outgoing. She is extremely motherly and has always had a passion for children. Jessica is my everything, and I could not imagine a day without her. She is a phenomenal mother.
About eight years ago we had the opportunity to do foster care for an infant from the time he was five weeks old until he was thirteen months old. Foster care was the most challenging, emotional process we have ever been through as a couple, but it was also the most rewarding experience and we would not change a moment of it, despite our broken hearts. Having to send him back home was one of the hardest days of our lives. However, we are so grateful for the time we spent with that little boy and the impact we were able to have on his life in such a short period of time. As a couple we truly learned how to lean on one another and most importantly, God. This experience gave us a glimpse of what it was like to be a mommy and daddy. It also prepared us for this journey and gives us a unique understanding and appreciation of the emotions you, as a birthmother, may be experiencing. There is no greater joy than the love you have for your child. This is the most selfless decision you will ever make and for that we are truly grateful. It is our hope and prayer that we will be able to have an open adoption with you.
We adopted Grayson at birth and we had the honor of being in the hospital room when he came into this world. We are blessed to have a very open adoption with his birth family. Grayson is just a couple weeks away from turning six years old. He just started kindergarten this year and is loving school! Grayson is smart, passionate, loving, and kind. He enjoys sports, being outside, music, art and learning. Grayson has been praying for a baby brother or sister for some time now, and he’s so excited to welcome a new little one into our family.
We adopted Oakley at birth as well, and we also had the honor of being in the hospital room when she was born. Again, we are blessed to have an open adoption with her birth mom, however, it looks a little different than Grayson’s open adoption because we live in a different state than her birth mom. Oakley just turned four years old a couple months ago. She attends preschool at our local school where she also receives speech and physical therapy. Oakley is a ray of sunshine. She can brighten anyone’s day with her joyful spirit and giggle. She loves music, dancing, and swinging. Oakley has been praying for a baby brother or sister and can’t wait to take on the role of big sister!
My passion for children inspired me to earn my degree in child development. I worked in child care for eight years before becoming a stay at home mom to our two beautiful children. I absolutely love what I do and find it rewarding to see the growth and development of my children. When I’m not being a mom I love crafting, being outdoors, and vacationing at the beach.
My love of science led me into the medical field. I graduated in 2011 and am now a Pharmacist at the local hospital. I absolutely love what I do. I get the opportunity to directly impact the healthcare of all my patients on a daily basis. I have a very flexible schedule; I work three 12-hour shifts each week. This allows me to spend a lot of time at home with our family and not miss important milestones!
