About Fay

Fay (Through Sean’s eyes) I love Fay for her loving and compassionate nature. She is the ultimate mom, athletic and energetic. Whether it is kicking around a soccer ball, building with blocks or visiting the horses, Benjamin always has a great time. Fay is self employed and sets her own schedule so she can spend as much time with Benjamin as possible. She love Saturday cartoons, playing with toy race cars and blowing bubbles each day for Benjamin. I know she will be so happy to welcome another child into our family.

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

Dear Expectant Mother,

We admire your willingness and courage to do what you believe is best for your baby. We understand that your decision to place your child is done out of love and selflessness. We are grateful to even be considered. It is our hope to provide you with a picture of what life with our family would be like for your baby.

We must share that recently in 2019 we went through a revocation. A baby girl was placed in our arms and the papers were signed. We were so excited. Our son was overjoyed at the thought of finally becoming a big brother. Sadly two days of holding her and caring for her in the hospital the adoption fell through and we had to kiss her goodbye and wish her blessings and a wonderful life as we drove away from the hospital. We were devastated but our son just simply could not understand what happened. We explained as best we could that God has the final say in all of our lives and that his baby brother or sister was still on the way. We explained that God has a way that is not our way…we may not understand at the time so we must trust that if he truly wants our son to be a big brother then it will be done.

We cannot begin to tell you the joy that our son has brought into our lives. He is happy, healthy, energetic and looks at the world everyday with a wonder and amazement. He tells us he will be the best big brother ever. He has plans to play Legos, chase bubbles and teach his little brother or sister all about bugs and monster trucks. He is every bit as excited as we are. He has already set aside certain treasures of his to share. We have faith that all we have been through as a family is part of this journey called life. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your future as well.

Our Parenting Style

We share a fun and loving parenting style. We feel that communication and clear expectations are key to successful parenting. We are consistent and age appropriate when parenting and can say within the past four years we know we have been successful when our son heard the words “time out” and asked “Mom what does that mean?’’. We explained in an age appropriate way that sometimes we all need a moment to take a break. We do not practice “time outs”…we practice “time in’s” although we have never attached a name to the activity. We are experienced parents and we are a healthy and loving couple with the ability to teach and nurture another child. We have an excellent understanding of a child’s developmental stages and we continue to increase our knowledge by research, consulting with family and friends as well as our pediatrician. Everyday we are amazed at the joy we feel as parents and are looking forward to welcoming our next child into our lives.

A Note From Courtney (Benjamin’s Birth Mother)

First I’d like to commend you on your choice to consider adoption; it’s a huge decision and one that I know you must have tossed around in your mind many times. I have been in your shoes and want to say I am proud of you for getting this far. I couldn’t have made a better choice and am so proud of the parents Sean and Fay have become. The years have flown by but I have stayed updated with photos, messages and have even been over for family dinners. They are amazing parents to Benjamin and I can honestly say I have never thought twice about choosing them. I want you to know that each day I can wake up knowing that he is safe, provided for and most importantly, loved unconditionally. Every time I see them I am filled with joy being able to see such a special bond that little happy boy, with those chubby little cheeks, has with his mommy and daddy. I am overjoyed with the idea of Benjamin having a baby brother or sister. Please don’t hesitate to pick up your phone and call them or even myself if you have any questions during your search for the perfect family.

Our Story

Our Story

OUR HOME

We live in the beautiful state of North Carolina. Our neighborhood is safe and has many excellent schools, playgrounds and churches. Horses are a large part of the community and there is always a horse show to attend. Our horse Tango lives in a pasture very close to our house. We often walk with Benjamin in the evenings to take Tango his carrots. We are looking forward to watching our next child enjoying the experience of feeding Tango as well.

OUR FAMILY

Our families live in Texas and Washington State and we love going to visit as much as possible. Fay’s older sister and brother both have two children each so Benjamin has lots of older cousins to get into mischief with. Benjamin is absolutely adored by the whole family and everyone is excited about our second adoption. Both of our families and friends are ready to surround us with unending love and support as we welcome our next child into our lives.

OUR PETS

We share our home with three furry cats named Koshka, Gabriel and Guinness. They enjoy spending their days relaxing out on a new cat patio that Sean installed last year. They love to see the birds, squirrels and rabbits that play in our backyard. They love their new patio so much they will hardly come back inside except to eat. We also have one horse named Tango that we board on a nearby farm. Tango spends his days with his pasture buddies and enjoys trail riding when Fay is able to take him out.
