Janae & Ryan

– Utah –

Introduction

We are Ryan and Janae. We live in UT and have been married for 5 years. We have had some infertility struggle and a late stage miscarriage. We know that it is unlikely for us to have a healthy pregnancy of our own, so we have turned to adoption to grow our family. We currently do not have any children. We have 2 dogs, labrador and labradoodle. Janae is a Registered Nurse and has experience teaching special needs children. Ryan works full time for the military and is stationed permanently in UT. Janae is kind, patient and determined in all she does. Ryan is fun loving and has an amazing connection with children. We are LDS-Christian and have God as the center of our home. Our hobbies include hiking, biking and any outdoor recreation. We are also very close with our families and have a great support system. We have so much love to give and hope to be considered for this adoption situation.

Our Parenting Style

Regarding discipline, Ryan and Janae plan on using techniques according to a child’s age, personality, and level of understanding. They plan to talk with their children to teach them right from wrong, and help them understand simple, clear expectations. Ryan and Janae will have structure in their home “but always with love and patience.” They want their children to feel that their home is a safe place to be honest with them. When children are younger they plan to use distraction, redirection, and saying “no.”
