We met at a restaurant in 2014. We’re both very outgoing and love to talk so we immediately hit it off. After 3 years of dating, Todd proposed in July 2017. We were married in a beautiful ceremony January 2018. Our time together has been special beyond words, but our heart’s desire is to grow our family. We love one another unconditionally and are thrilled to one day become parents together.
Things she loves: Sports, yoga, the beach, walks with Todd, family, dogs, working with children.
Career: Jennifer has been a middle school counselor for sixteen years. She loves being a school counselor because it gives her the opportunity to be a part of a child’s life in such a powerful way. I think with being a counselor, you can build such strong relationships. One of the most valuable aspect of being a counselor is having the opportunity to just be there for students and to listen.
Things he loves: Sports (especially college football), golf, Mexican food, walks with Jennifer, the beach, kids, and family
Career: Todd is the Electric Transportation Program Manager for a large utility company. He has been with the company since 2014. Todd is able to educate and provide solutions to people who are looking to incorporate electric vehicle charging stations at their home or business. He is very passionate about his career and loves watching the market grow.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about and consider us as your child’s adoptive parents. It is our hope that this book gives you a glimpse at how much we love each other and how thankful we are for the incredible support system surrounding us. Even though we have never met, we have a tremendous amount of admiration for your strength and courage during this process. We cannot imagine the feelings you have, or will experience, in your decision to plan an adoption for your child. We offer our sincere support during this time. From a very early point in our engagement, we had adoption in our hearts. We promise that your baby will be loved and cherished, nurtured and guided throughout our lives together. We promise to read to your child and make sure they get a good education. We promise to support him/her in whatever they are passionate about. We promise to give hugs every day and surround them with love. We hope that this letter and these photographs provide a glimpse of the loving home we have to offer. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to tell you about our dreams for the future. It is important for us to be open with an adopted child about their roots, background and story, and especially to honor the importance of you, their birth mother, in their life. Your trust in us is humbling.
Kindly, Jenn & Todd

Our Parenting Style
We believe we will be “fair, nurturing, and firm” parents. We will have open communication with our child and enjoy the simple moments. We will read to them, dance with them, and give hugs and kisses often. We look forward to taking our child to experience new things and exposing them to cultural diversity. We agree that the style of discipline should depend on the child, since each child is unique. We do not believe that spanking or corporal forms of discipline are best for the well-being of their children. We will be fair and consistent in managing the discipline depending on the behavior. We have very strong values about education. We want to be able to provide our child with many opportunities and support their educational future.
We’re nestled in a wonderful cul-de-sac surrounded by parks, walking trails and shops. There are many family-friendly amenities in our neighborhood, including a pool and lots of outdoor green space. We are also surrounded by many other families with young children who get together regularly and play. Locally we have an amazing school system with the best elementary school in the city! There is so much to see and do in the city and surrounding areas. We cannot wait to share our home with a son or daughter.
The baby will have his/her own room with a bathroom. We haven’t started the nursery yet because we are waiting to see the gender of the baby. There is furniture and beautiful windows with lots of natural sunlight.
Todd has twin 7 year olds from a previous marriage. A boy and a girl. They live with their mom and we see them very often. We both have amazing sisters who would be the best aunts ever! Both sets of grandparents are so supportive and loving. They can’t wait to be grandparents!
We don’t have any pets that live with us. However, our dad is a veterinarian and would love to have a dog one day.
