I was born and raised in the heart of Kentucky. I'm the youngest of 3 and my loving parents have been married for 35 years. After graduating with my Bachelor's from the University of Kentucky, I became a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and have continued working in the same unit for almost 9 years. I am very passionate about what I do and have always wanted to work specifically with babies since I was little. After the arrival of our son, I went part-time to be able to spend ample quality time raising our son. We are grateful for having three sets of grandparents who help us with childcare needs on days that I do work. Beyond my familial roles, I love the outdoors, staying active, and traveling to places on our bucket list. I can't wait for our future child to join in on our adventures!

I was originally from North Carolina, but moved to Kentucky at the age of 2. As the middle child in a tight-knit family with an older brother, Dylan, and a younger sister, Molly, my early years were defined by sibling love and shared adventures. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a major in marketing and a minor in economics. I now work for a healthcare company whose primary goal is to create health equity for all populations. I enjoy a variety of hobbies, including reading, working out, playing pickleball and golf, and tending to yard work.

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

We can already tell you’re an incredible person because of the courage and strength it takes to navigate the complex emotions and choices that come with deciding on an adoption plan. We have the utmost respect for you and we express our deepest gratitude for considering us as potential adoptive parents for your precious child.

We want to share a little about who we are and the home we hope to provide for your child. We have created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter, support, and a deep commitment to nurturing a child’s growth. Our families and friends are an integral part of our lives, and they eagerly await the opportunity to welcome a new member into our close-knit circle. We value education, individuality, and the importance of developing a strong sense of self-worth in a child.

We understand the importance of maintaining a connection between a child and their birth family, and we are committed to ensuring that your child grows up knowing their unique story and the love that surrounds them from all sides. We are open to discussing and establishing a level of contact that feels comfortable for everyone involved, respecting your wishes and boundaries.

We have longed to grow our family, and after losing a little girl halfway through pregnancy, we began our journey to adopt. We are ready to give your little one unconditional love, support, a safe and stable home, and many opportunities. Your child will know how your profound love and bravery made us a family of 4.

Our Parenting Style

Five things we want to teach our children:

Be kind and respectful. You never know what is going on in someone’s life. Kindness goes a long way.

Be uniquely you. You were created perfect, just the way you are.

You are so loved! We promise to stand by you and love you unconditionally.

“If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again”. Don’t give up!

Be honest. Telling the truth is important and brave. You can talk to us about anything. We are always here to listen and help in any way we can!

Our Story

Our Home

We absolutely love our home! We live in a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom home with plenty of room to play games like hide and seek and tag. Outside we have a spacious yard where often times we will be playing T-ball and coloring with chalk. We were drawn to our neighborhood because Caitlin grew up here and knew first hand how friendly and safe it is. Milo has fun riding his jeep a few houses down to his grandparents house and we love that he gets to see them almost every day. We also live within a couple miles of his other grandparents, which makes him one lucky boy to be surrounded by so much love. We prioritize eating meals as a family at the kitchen table, and cuddling up on the couch together while watching a good movie. In the playroom, we let Milo’s imagination take the lead while we paint, build blocks, and “cook” food on the stove.

Our Pets

Lennon and Bennett, aka Lenny & Benny, are our sweet and loving Australian Shepherds. They were both rescued from different organizations and they are very good with kids! Lenny is our smart, protective and loving girl. When we had our son, she was always nearby to keep him safe. Benny is our calm and gentle boy. He has to be curled up next to his humans and gives the best kisses. It makes our hearts so happy seeing Milo and the dogs interact and love one another!

Our Family

We love our family to the moon and back. Since we conveniently live near the grandparents, we get together with all sides of our families often. Beyond family dinners, we enjoy brunch on Sundays and Packer parties on game days!

We are very fortunate to have three sets of active grandparents who are loving, silly, fun, and very involved in our son’s life. Caitlin’s parents, Robin and David, are upbeat, sociable, and avid travelers. Carter’s dad, Bob, and stepmom, Susan, are artistic, creative, and pickleball enthusiasts. Carter’s mom, Mary, and stepdad, Tim, are adventurous and amazing cooks. We also have family in North Carolina, Iowa, and Wisconsin who we see for holidays.

We are thankful to have a family that is very supportive of our adoptive journey. Our parents have loved every second of being grandparents and can’t wait to love on their new grandchild!
