Brett & Jacqueline

– Ohio –

Introduction

We are so excited to be parents and all that comes with it! We patiently wait for that day to start nurturing, teaching, and playing. As a family, we will be going to the park, kids’ museums, and seeing the world through a child's eyes. We have so much love and devotion to give to the newest member of our family! We cannot begin to assume that we know what you are thinking or feeling, and it is not our job to judge. It takes so much courage to consider creating an adoption plan, and we admire you for that. We are happy to answer any questions and wish you as much peace throughout this process as possible. We hope to give you a sense of who we are and how we plan to be as parents.

Sports has always been a big part of his life, and he gets to spend a lot of time around them through his job. He can’t wait to teach is child how to swing a golf club and how much fun basketball games can be. Whether it’s ballet or baseball, tennis or tuba, he’ll be right there cheering!

Our Home

We live in a beautiful house in Ohio. We bought our home about three years ago, and it’s worked out perfectly for us! We absolutely love it because of its proximity to the city, architectural character and big, beautiful tree in the backyard. Our house is more than 90 years old, and we love the wood floors and the stained glass windows in the living room. It has a small bedroom next to ours that we are looking forward to decorating for our baby. As much as we love our house, we love the neighborhood even more. There are always runners and bikers out, which is great for us because staying fit is important to us. We also have a few nearby parks that we'll be visiting often. It's a great place to raise a child!

Our Nursery

There's a small bedroom next to ours that we look forward to decorating for our baby. There's a reading nook where we'll read books together, and our child will never be too far away.

Our Family

Brett's parents have been married for 40 years. Most of his family lives in western Kentucky, except for his younger brother in Nashville. Jackie's parents have been married for 35 years, and they now live in Charlotte. Her younger sister is married with two little ones: Jackson (6) and Ruby (4).

Our Traditions

We attend a non-denominational multi-site church in Cincinnati every week. We also occasionally volunteer and help with children's ministries or welcoming others to church. We visit New York City every March, and take a trip somewhere warm in November every year. Jackie also goes skiing with her dad in Colorado every winter. She's excited to teach her child how to ski!
