Stephen & Nicole
– Missouri –
Nikki has always known that she has wanted to start her family through adoption, while Stephen has always known that he just wants to be a father. Adoption has never been a fall back option for us. It’s our first choice. Nikki was given an amazing life through adoption and we would love nothing more than to be able to do the same with our family.
By Nikki: Stephen is the most giving and caring husband a girl could hope for. He works hard all week at the local Power and light company and never fails to make time for his family and friends. He loves all things sports! From watching games at home to coaching or reffing kids basketball. I can’t wait to see him coaching our kids sports team! Watching him teach our nephews and friends kids sports, home improvement projects, and how to play new games shows me what a patient and loving father he is going to be.
It makes me so happy that I get to call Nikki my best friend. She is hilarious and can always make anyone laugh without even trying. Nikki grew up playing soccer and running track, so she has no shortage of energy. She loves taking our dogs on walks and going to the park to play with our friends children. She also loves watching movies and relaxing on the couch to wind down at night. All children love Nikki with her fun loving and outgoing personality. Nikki is very supportive in helping me achieve any goals that I set, so I know she will do the same for our child. We are lucky enough that Nikki will get to stay at home with our child full time. She is so grateful for the opportunity to raise this baby and there is
We love our home in the beautiful Lee’s Summit, MO. Our house has a large fenced in backyard, a room dedicated to
be a playroom, and a large theater room ready for family
movie nights. We have been living here for 3 years now
and have already made tons of upgrades to our home. Our house has plenty of space for a child to grow into, have a
room of their own, and plenty of room to play. We have kids up and down the street so there will be no shortage of friends. This is our forever home, with great neighbors, great schools, and multiple parks within walking or bike riding distance from us. We are very centrally located with the local zoo, amusement park, and multiple water parks all within 20 minutes driving distance.
We have two wonderful dogs who we love very much. They are complete opposites of one another. Sam is little 16 pound Lowchen, which means little lion dog in German. Sam loves nothing more than to nap all day and eat treats. Whereas Lucy is a Border Collie mix who is a big bundle of energy. Lucy loves to play fetch, go on long walks, and absolutely loves to watch tv waiting for animals to show up on the screen. They’re both super loyal pups. No matter where we go there is always little puppy foot steps behind us.
We were both fortunate to be raised in a God loving household where family was always a priority. Stephen comes from a family of 5, who’s parents have been married for 43 years. He has 2 fun-loving twin sisters who absolutely can’t wait to become aunts! We are all very close to Stephen’s extended family and live within 30 minutes of each other and those who don’t never miss the chance to celebrate a holiday or family event. We find any excuse for the whole family to get together and spend time with each other.
Nikki also comes from a family of 5, who’s parents were foster parents for many years until they chose to adopt on 3 different occasions. Nikki has one sister, one brother, and two nephews.
Traveling has always been something we’ve always enjoyed doing together. Some of our favorite memories for us have come from vacations that we have taken together. In the 9 years we’ve spent together, we have traveled to Las Vegas, spent our honeymoon in Jamaica, celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Sea World in Florida, and our 3 year wedding anniversary in Los Angelas, California. Nikki’s father has recently moved to Estes Park, Colorado and it is now a tradition to visit him in the spring and the fall of every year. We can’t wait to travel as a family to go see Grandpa in the beautiful mountains of Estes Park!
