Hi! I’m Lindsey. I chose this photo of me hugging my mom, because the relationship I have with my mother is so similar to what I want with my child. She is an incredible role model and Grandma, and hopefully some day, my child will feel as deeply loved by me as I feel by my mother. I really appreciate you being here, looking at my profile and considering me. I want a close relationship with my child's birth mother, and I hope this is where it starts.

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

Hi! I’m Lindsey.

This must be a lot for you. I think that it’s really great that you’re here, and trying to find out what’s best for you and your baby.  There are so many hopeful parents on here. I’m honestly, just super excited that you made it to my profile.

I’ve wanted to build a family through adoption ever since I was a little girl. I also know how important timing is, when it comes to being a parent. I’ve created a bunch of hit TV shows, lived in the tiniest apartment in the biggest city. I’ve fallen in and out of love, traveled all over this country and way beyond.  I’ve literally climbed to the peak of the world’s tallest mountains… Now, I’m 40 years old and all I want, is to become a parent. I live in a big old renovated farm house upstate, that’s filled with friends and family (and animals) all the time. There’s always a warm fire going, someone cooking something and loud laughter coming from ‘who knows where’.  All this to say, I’ve built the warmest, most stable environment to raise a child in and I am really looking forward to becoming a parent.

Our Parenting Style

I’ve prepared for Motherhood, for the past 20 years.  I have built a career that allows me to stay home and raise my child, while also providing us with stable and generous income.  I purchased a property and renovated a home that’s specifically made for raising my family in. I’ve read the books, taken the classes and decorated the nursery.  I’m ready to give my love, my time and everything I have, to my child.  I will work tirelessly to make sure to support their dreams and to give them a safe and loving home to grow up.

My Story

I’ve wanted to build a family through adoption ever since I was a little girl. I also know how important timing is when it comes to being a parent. Now is my time. I’ve created a bunch of hit TV shows, lived in the tiniest apartment in the biggest city. I’ve fallen in and out of love, traveled all over this country and the world. I’ve literally climbed to the peak of the world’s tallest mountains… Now, I’m 40 years old and all I want, is to become a parent and be at home with my family.

Our Story

Our Home

My home has five bedrooms and they are almost never empty. I renovated this home with my future child in mind. They already have an awesome bedroom waiting for them. A crib filled with stuffed animals and a library filled with books just for them. In this house, there are always kids running around and babies taking their first steps. Dogs are cleaning up dropped food from breakfast and the smell of fresh laundry coming out of the dryer wafts through out the halls. I take my work calls while walking outside to feed the chickens and get some eggs.  At night, friends come over and we cook a big family dinner, put any kids to sleep, and play cards or pool.

My property is magical.  There is a long driveway that goes over a bridge when you come in.  That bridge goes over the lazy river that wraps around the property. The house is large, but every nook and corner is filled with a comfy place to play a game or read a book. Outside there are huge trees with swings and hammocks, a vegetable garden and a big, covered, outdoor dining room that we eat in all summer long.

I hung a wooden face sculpture on one of the old trees, and all of the kids call it Mr. Tree.  They leave a cracker next to the tree and make a wish, and apparently, he grants the wish. I live next to a home for retired horses, so most afternoons we go and visit the horses with some treats.

The Property is named Paradise, and it truly lives up to the name. I cannot wait to raise a child here.

Our Nursery

I make home renovation shows for a living, so I love a good before and after.  The nursery has been one of my favorite projects. Friends and family from all over the country have been sending gifts in preparation of me becoming a parent, so the nursery is filled kids books, stuffed animals both store bought, hand me downs and hand made from friends. We have the crib and bassinet, but I’m superstitious, so I cant build it until I’m matched. The nursery is built to grow into. It has its own bathroom, and enough space to fill with friends, art projects, pillow forts and whatever the future may bring.

Our Pets

I have two dogs, Moishe and Rosie.  Moishe is a big white dog that is faster than any dog you’ve ever seen, and I like to think that he thinks he is the protector of the property.  Rosie on the other hand is a lap dog who often times thinks she’s bigger than she is. Then I have three adorable kittens named Molly Ilsa and Little.  The dogs are trained to be around kids and babies, and all of the children LOVE them.

Our Family

I’m sure everyone says this, but I have the best family and friends.  My mother, Renee, lives here with me half the year, and with my brother the other half of the year. She is the best person I know. Everyone who meets her loves her.  She is an incredible grandmother.  My niece, August is almost 2 now, and her favorite word is Grams.  My mother has already started buying baby gifts and talking becoming a grandma again.

My brother and I talk every day, and visit eachother 4 times a year. We’re trying to figure out how to get him back to NY permanently soon.  The rest of my family lives close by, and we are extremely close. My cousins are like siblings to me. We talk all the time. My family is really tight. We’re sometimes loud, and always laughing.

My friends are really cool.  They’re the kind of people who you look at and think, ‘wow, I really wanna be friends with them’.  And then they actually live up to that. A lot of my friends have kids and babies already, so I have had the opportunity to become Everyone’s Favorite Auntie. My friends and their children are overly excited about my journey to become a mother.

I have a big, awesome, diverse group of friends here in my small mountain town. A lot of my friends have moved up here in the past few years, from NYC and we’ve really started to grow a nice community.  Beyond that, I have friends that I consider family all over the country who come to visit me often, and I love traveling to visit them.

Custom Section

I spent 18 years living in New York City, working as a Television Executive. I created beloved TV series like Home Town and I was the executive in charge of Fixer Upper, Property Brothers and tons more.  I spent my career making TV shows about people buying and renovating houses into homes and building lives in unique places. At 38 years old, I decided to do just that. I sold my apartment and bought an old Farmhouse on 29 acres in the Catskill Mountains. I’ve been renovating it for the past two years. The main house is finally finished, and I love it. I still make TV shows, but now I own the company that makes them, so I’m not required to work the same hectic schedule I had in the past.  My time is now spent enjoying this property and the mountains, with my friends and family.

I’m really looking forward to becoming a mother and building a family. I  really want it to include a close relationship with my child’s birth mother. I know that this time in your life must be incredibly scary, and I genuinely hope that you can see my profile, and maybe see a beautiful future your baby, and a future full of possibilities for you.
