We are Katharine and Brian. We truly are each other’s best friends and live life happily together. We met at a mutual friend's wedding 10 years ago. It has been years of wonderful experiences, love and teamwork. We got engaged in the south of France and were married 7 years ago surrounded by our closest family and friends. We share so many of the same beliefs, passions and dreams and look forward to raising our family on these values.
My wife Katharine is an amazing person in every sense of the word. She is a selfless person who always puts others needs above her own. Katharine has a successful career as a director of marketing for a financial company. She is very creative and takes pride in her work. Katharine and I love spending time outdoors, especially while traveling and exploring the world. Katharine loves entertaining family and friends in our home. She is always thinking up new recipes to try on our guests. She is a fabulous cook! Katharine is a beautiful person, both inside and out. Her love for her family, friends, especially her love for me is what makes me fall for her more and more each day. Even after being together for 10 years, I am still taken aback by her sincerity and charm. Katharine is my best friend and a caring partner and is a loving and devoted mother. She is so kind and patient, Helena and her share such a special bond and they are best friends! I know having another child will fill her heart with so much joy!
Brian is the most amazing man. He is kind and sincere in all that he does. Brian is an architect. His ambition is truly inspiring and he always put his whole heart in all he does. I have always known him to be a dedicated, hard worker. He has a great sense of humor and everyone just adores him. Brian has a passion for life and lives life to the fullest each day. Brian and I spend so much of our time on the lake close to our home. We love to go boating and just relax and enjoy the nice weather. Brian in an avid swimmer and loves to draw. He enjoys all of life's little moments! Brian is someone I can count on when times are tough and celebrate with when good news comes our way. He has a positive outlook on life and I know these traits have become our family values. Brian is a fantastic father and will always provide love, security, guidance and support. He loves being a dad and cannot wait to have more children.
It was our greatest wish to start a family to share in our love and the wonderful life that we have built together. Our wish came true two years ago when we adopted our daughter, Helena. She brings us pure joy and we consider ourselves the luckiest parents in the world. We wish for nothing more than for Helena to have a sibling and make our family complete. We are so excited to embark on another adoption journey.
We are so blessed to have adopted our daughter, Helena, from birht. She is a loving, outgoing, and courageous 3 year old. She loves Elmo, her stuffed bunnies, coloring, bubbles and going to the playground. We encourage her to be herself while also teaching her the fundamentals of life at her age. We love to be fun and silly at home. We bake and play dress up as often as we can. She is going to be a great big sister!
Our home is warm and cozy, filled with lots of toys and backyard adventures. We live in a quiet neighborhood with wonderful schools and parks surrounded by tons of children. Helena makes friends everywhere she goes. There are quiet streets to ride our bikes. We love to go to the nearby beaches in the summer and enjoy cozying up to a warm fire in the winter. We consider ourselves very lucky to be surrounded by such great neighbors and friends.
Helena’s room is one of our favorite rooms in the house. We love to go in before bed and read books and build tents. She has so many stuffed animals that she cannot wait to pass them down to her baby brother or sister. We look forward to building and creating a new nursery.
