I grew up in a small town, the whole county still doesn't have stoplight. The house my parents still live in is next door to a cow pasture and down the road from the river. We grew up going on the bike trails and riding around the neighborhood. My parents love to travel so when money permitted, we would take a family vacation. My dad is German, and we would travel there every few years to see his mom. My brother taught English in China where he met his wife. So, we traveled to China which was so interesting.I am blessd with a child, I hope they love all the adventure we will go on as much as I do. I recently changed my hair color after being a blonde most of my life to brunette. Don't let the pictures fool you. :)

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I appreciate you considering an adoption plan for your baby. You are courageous, caring, and considerate. I dream often of becoming a parent to a beautiful child.  It’s possible you may be thinking….”single parent adoption- no way!” But I can tell you this baby will have so much love in their life if I am chosen. I have a great family and support system.

If I am chosen as the child’s adoptive parent, I promise he/she will be so, so loved and lead with God. I will provide unconditional love, nurturing, supportive, family/friends, great education, faith, and grace. Plus, they will have two awesome dogs to hang out with. No matter what type of adoption you choose, I will always tell the child of the loving choice you made for them. Please know that when your child joins my family, they will be given the opportunity to dream big!

I cannot wait for the day someone chooses me to be their baby’s mother. I wish you luck and love during this time as choose what is right for you and your baby.

Our Parenting Style

My parenting style will be similar to my parents. My mom just gave me a look and I knew I better stop what I am doing. I heard I have the same look. Haha Parenting style is hard to explain before you know the child. Some children do better with time out others do better with discussion. Some children need more of a loving approach other needs more disciplined approach. I think you don’t know until you know the child’s personality.

Our Story

Our Home

I live down a winding road in a townhome community outside of Nashville. I think it’s the best of both worlds. My neighborhood is filled with bunnies, deer, turkey, and stray cats. We are off the beaten path, so we have no traffic except for people who live here. There are two playgrounds in the neighborhood and a dog park. We frequent the dog park all the time.  I have a fenced in back yard where my dog Joey likes to tan. Then I can drive into the city in less than 30 minutes. Nashville has so much to offer culturally. My nephew and niece come down often. My niece wants to move here. She says there is always something to do. I am a short drive from the lake and have season passes to Nashville Shores. While I live in a quiet little town a short drive to the city is always fun.

Our Nursery

My nursery is baby ready! I tried to pick something gender neutral that a baby will feel comfortable in. I also have a day bed in the room so during the first few months I can sleep in the same room. I painted the walls and sun myself. I am not a painter, but I tried. :) I am so excited and love the bedding. I think it has a boho zoo feel to it. Hopefully, the child will enjoy it as much as I do. I also decorated the bathroom with zoo animal prints.

Our Pets

I have two rescue dogs. Bennie and Joey rule the roost. Bennie (schnauzer mix) had a rough start to life, now he is living his best life!! I have had  him for six years. He is the sweetest dog who loves his walks. He is my protector and loves his kitty friend next door. They give each other kisses all the time. He walks into my neighbor’s house anytime they are home.  Joey (chiweenie) is my little spitfire. He is a 12lb mastiff at heart. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He has the dachshund personality for sure. He is stubborn but loves to play with his doggy friends. He feels like he needs to be held by every person that acknowledges him.  We frequent the dog park and various dog festival. They are both the best boys and can’t wait to share their love.

Our Family

I enjoy sports event, festivals, concerts, travel, trivia, games, dancing, singing in the car, and the water. Going to sports events and concerts are my favorite things to do here. I go hiking with my dogs when it’s not too hot. I love to travel and go as much as possible. I feel my future child will enjoy all the places we will go. I also enjoy eating! I cook new recipes. Some work and others are doomed for the trash. I do love trying new restaurants.

A little about my family. We love to play games! We have recently gotten into exploding kittens and uno dare. We laugh so hard. My dad and nephew play golf alot. I play with them when I go back home. We have pool parties and water balloon fights even though we are all older. My family is extremely supportive of my decision to adopt.  My hometown is two hrs form here so they are always coming down to see me. They are all over the moon about me pursuing adoption and will help me raise this child in a loving environment.
