Introduction

Hi! We are Lindsey and Jason. We live in Los Angeles and are raising our family in the cool L.A. suburbs. We love being parents and are so excited about an open adoption plan. The kids, Elliot (11) and Violet (8) are very excited to adopt a sibling... so they can outnumber us! We know it's a big decision to raise a child and we are ready! It will be so special to be chosen as adopted parents. It's going to be the honor of a lifetime to bring another child into our family.

I am a good time... if I do say so myself! I love comedy and managed to turn that into a career. I also managed to turn a love for video games into a successful YouTube channel. I am a fun mom, even the kids agree! (We'll see if they still do in their teen years but I'm holding onto the title as long as I can.) Currently, I’m writing on an animated Disney TV show called “Hailey’s On It”-- my 4th Disney show. When I’m not at work (if you can call something that fun “work) I like to play video games, hike the local trails with the kids, I love being a sports mom, I go to lots of shows and concerts, volunteer at the kid’s school, I work with the CLC that helps Foster Kids and I plan travel like it's an Olympic sport--which means lots of fun vacations for my family and friends. But of all the jobs and things I do, being a mom is number one. My kids are my priority, and my pride and joy.

I love being a Dad and watching my kids grow into people I'm proud of and want to hang out with. The best way to describe me is...I'm the guy everyone comes to for advice. I have a wealth of knowledge, and I'm always learning more to add to my lifetime of interesting stories. I love a good discussion and the opportunity to help a friend. But more than that... everyone comes to me for tech support! I love technology and having the latest tech inventions. I can build things as complicated as camera tech for a movie set, and things as simple as a great surround sound system for our home entertainment. I have to see blockbuster movies and Star Wars TV shows the day they come out, because no spoilers! It's now becoming a tradition with the kids to see movies several times a month and we have our weekly shows we all watch together--they love it because I can explain all the backstories for any Star Wars, Marvel or DC character. I am teaching the kids how to build a computer from scratch. If you can't find me, I'm probably in the garage fixing up my ‘67 Mustang or modifying my Tesla.

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

Thank you, thank you for considering our family!! We have always been planning to adopt because we know we can provide a beautiful life for our children. Our family has a loving home and a very fun lifestyle. We plan to share your story and how much love went into the decision to choose our family. We have so much love to give, a lifetime of fun plans ahead, and the bedroom ready to expand our family. The kids can’t wait to be big brother and sister…. We are so excited to hopefully bring a new baby into our fun and loving home. Much Love, Lindsey & Jason

Our Parenting Style

Our parenting style is filled with love and attention. Our focus is for the kids to be happy and stress-free. (Plenty of time for that when they grow up.) We have dinner together every night, we love to cook and that brings us together. The kids do a lot of extracurricular activities, we believe staying busy with fun enrichment is important for their development and to keep them out of trouble. Team sports and individual athetics fill our weekends–we love being a soccer mom and softball dad! Music and art fill our afternoons. We do a lot of fun things every month… Disneyland, movies, travel, water parks, holiday events, ice cream dates, parties, etc. As the kids get older, these activities are a privilege and are earned. Our discipline is the loss of a privilege. We communicate a lot and help the kids work through issues and come up with solutions. We bring in support when needed for academic deficiencies. And we play a lot of video games, but that too is managed so it’s age-appropriate and fun.

Our Story

Our Home

We have 5 bedrooms so everyone gets their own room… and a guest room/playroom for fun. Comfort is our priority so we have cozy couches, sitting areas, video games, board games, and comfy bedrooms. We live in La Canada which is just 15 minutes from downtown Los Angeles–but has a small-town feel. Every street is picturesque and walkable. The public schools are some of the best in California. We just moved into a house with a pool! We live 40 minutes from Disneyland (which we visit several times a year) and 15 minutes from Univeral Studios which we have season passes to.

Our Nursery

We have the crib ready! The baby will sleep in our room in a bassinet for the first 6 months. We can’t wait to decorate the nursery!! Here is a picture of the living room that will soon be filled with baby items. This isn’t our first rodeo with a baby and we cannot wait to do it again!! Our first two kids have turned out okay (so far lol) so maybe we know what we’re doing! Our family and friends are excited to buy clothes and toys, not to mention all the toys we already have from older brother and sister!

Our Pets

Our sweet dog Ripley is 13 years old but everyone thinks she’s a puppy. She is a husky/lab mix so she’s very soft and loves to be pat. She trades off sleeping in each kid’s room at night. She loves to go for walks and sit next to the pool while we swim.

Our Family

Elliot just started 5th Grade and he decided this year that he wants to be a YouTuber when he grows up – either playing video games or making funny prank videos. He plays on the local basketball and soccer teams and plans to join the swim team once he gets to Middle School.

Violet cannot wait to be a big sister. She is so sweet with babies and little kids–she loves that we are adopting and has so many plans for her new sibling. She is the entertainer of our family! She loves to dance, sing, play piano, play games, dress up, and read joke books. She loves school–and is excited that 2nd grade finally has a lot of homework. She plays softball and tennis. And can’t stop talking about seeing Taylor Swift last summer!

Our extended family is very close, even if we don’t all live in the same city. Lindsey’s mom lives in Los Angeles and comes to all the sports games and recitals. Lindsey’s sister and brother-in-law are getting ready to welcome their first baby. Jason’s family lives in Las Vegas which gives us a good excuse to have weekend getaways to Vegas. Every holiday is filled with big get-togethers, and every few years we all go on a vacation together. We have extended family in Chicago so every few years we go out to visit them in the mid-west.

Custom Section

Since we have raised two kids already, it won’t be our first experience with a baby. We absolutely love that precious time when they are little. It goes by so fast! And then it gets more and more fun/exciting as they grow older. We just got back from a family trip to the East Coast, this is pic of Lindsey and Violet in the park in New York City.
