Thank you so much for taking the time to read our book. We are very excited to be pursuing adoption, and we hope that this book has shown you the life we have built together and how ready and open we are to share this life with a baby.
We have yearned to become parents for many years. After several miscarriages, it became clear to us that we were meant to pursue adoption as our path to parenthood. While the loss was sad, the opportunity to adopt is a source of great joy and excitement to us. Adoption has already brought great joy to our lives through our adopted cousins, and we can’t wait to add to our family this way again.
If you choose us, we promise to love, adore, and care for the baby our entire lives. We will teach him or her to be kind, to care for others, to work confidently towards his or her goals, and to always feel secure in our love. We will show the baby everything we have come to love. With Daniel, the baby will learn about the stars and planets, explore new languages and cultures, learn about the ancient world, and learn how to drive a boat, row a kayak, and swim. With Catherine the baby will learn to make up songs, cook and bake delicious things, plan trips far and near, and be lovingly cared for each day as she dedicates her life to raising the baby. With both of us the baby will read countless books, travel to a wide variety of places around the state, country, and world, and spend time with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great grandparents.
You are a key part of the baby’s story, and we promise that we will always speak of you with great respect and honor. The baby will always know how much you love him or her, and how happy we are to have this opportunity. Your decision is what will bring us all together, and we feel honored that you are considering us. Know that we pray every day for you and the baby, and that our hearts are full of love and anticipation as we think of the life that we will have.
