Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

My name is Casey. I want to thank you for taking the time to review my profile and consider me as part of your adoption plan.

I am someone who does not take tough decisions lightly or without a lot of consideration and prayer. I knew I always wanted to be a mother, but when I was not able to have my own children, God placed it in my heart to adopt. I do know to my core that I am prepared to raise a child and to provide the physical, financial, and emotional stability that a child needs to flourish.

I’ll preface this by saying that when we meet for the first time in person, I would much rather hear about you, than talk about myself, but I think it’s important you have insight into who I am as a woman, a daughter, a friend, and a professional, and who I expect to become as a mother.

You don’t know me yet, but I’ve been praying for you for a while now. No doubt you have a lot of nerves about this process, I do too. You want what is best for your baby, as well as I do. One thing that has been pressed upon my heart is the very real struggle that you have and will go through during the process. I want whatever is best for you, and to be able to encourage you through this journey. More than anything, I want you to know that I will love this child unconditionally and will nurture him or her to grow up to be the best person that he or she can be. I feel you are an incredibly courageous woman, and I’m excited to meet you.

With Love, Casey

My Story

I grew up as an only child in a very loving home. My parents divorced when I was six weeks old, and my mother, raised me on her own as a single parent. My grandparents, were an important part of my life as well, as they had a hand in raising me. Growing up with my mom and grandparents, I had a wonderful childhood. There was laughter, happiness, and lots of love and support. They each supported me in several extracurricular activities, like swim team, gymnastics, and band. Although, my fondest memories were going to church with my mom and grandmother. They took me every time the doors were open, and taught me about God’s love and what it means to be a Godly woman. Church has always been a huge part of my life. Every time the door was open, I was there. I taught Sunday School Nursery, Sunday School for preschoolers, and helped with many Vacation Bible Schools. Being around babies and children, I always knew I wanted to have my own children one day. I’m an only child, but never felt alone. My family has always meant the world to me. My mom, grandparents and great-aunt were always exceptionally close to me.

Our Story

Our Home

I live on almost ten acres in the country, where we can take rides in our Kawasaki Mule, take walks in nature, and explore our surroundings. I had two donkeys, but now they have moved to a new home where they have lots of animal friends. We can visit anytime we like, and can feed them carrots, apples, and sweet feed.

My house was built in 1980, and has many happy memories, family gatherings, and lots of love.  It’s a beautiful place to call home, and raise children, while creating new happy memories.

I’m about 5 miles out of town, and I’m lucky to have many parks, trails, waterfalls, rivers, and two lakes to visit for swimming, kayaking, and camping. I’m also about one hour north of a large city where we have professional sports teams, attractions, and festivals, and then one hour north  of where we can visit the mountains for nature and scenery.

Living here is really the best of several worlds – country, city, and mountains.

Our Pets

Charlotte and Cooper – They are brother and sister boxers who are eight years old. I adopted them when they were little, and every moment since has been full of laughter, joy, lots of puppy kisses and love. They absolutely love people and kids and will be gentle and give lots of puppy kisses.

Cooper is black and white, and what makes him unique is his tuxedo coloring. It literally looks as if he is wearing a tuxedo with a white shirt underneath. Cooper is a true love bug. He loves to lay in your lap for rubs. He loves any kind of treat given to him; he is not picky.

Charlotte is white and what makes her unique is her left eye is half blue. She loves to run and chase after balls and will stand next to you with a squeaky toy in her mouth and squeak the toy for as long as possible.

Our Family

I’m an only child, but never felt alone. My family has always meant the world to me. My mom, grandparents and great-aunt were always exceptionally close to me.  They all have made an impact in my life and taught me so much about love, kindness, and faith.

Family has never been defined by blood to me, as I have a long-time best friend who I consider part of my family; he is like a brother to me. He has already exclaimed how excited he is to teach this child how to fish and camp.  I know he will be an exceptional “Uncle”.

Custom Section

“I grew up and still live in a family full of love, encouragement and opportunity, and I want to share that with a child.”

Family has never been defined by blood to me, and the capacity in which, both my family and I will embrace a child is immeasurable. I know how blessed and lucky I am to have that kind of support in my life, and this child would be welcomed into a family full of love, encouragement and support.

I believe it’s a parent’s role to provide structure and guidance, while encouraging children to develop into who they are independently and grow into the best version of themself and that’s achieved through exploration. I plan to nurture this child through journeys, both “big and small”, while providing love and stability and encouraging this child to reach his or her full potential.

Thank you for taking your time to get to know me, my family, friends, and fur babies. If you decide I am the right person to raise this child, please know that it will be a true honor, and I will love, nurture, and provide for him or her. I will make sure this child knows that this was a choice made of love. I have a great support system and so much love to give. My prayers are with you and the decisions you make!

Love, Casey
