Kandace & Brandon

- Tennessee -

Introduction

Hey There! We are Brandon & Kandace from a small town, a little north of Nashville,Tennessee. We live in a great neighborhood with our son, Sawyer (he is adopted too) and our dogs, Flurry and Champ. Adoption has always been such an important part of our lives. Sawyer was adopted as a newborn in 2018 and it was truly the most magical experience. Kandace is unable to have biological children but we have so much love to give and cannot wait to see another child grow up.

“Kandace was truly sent to me by God. I prayed for her, and he answered. She loves with a passion and the heart she has for kids cannot be matched by anyone else. The joy that shines out of her could brighten up anyone’s day, The world would be a better place if everyone had the understanding that she has for the way someone acts and why they choose to act that way. I love that she is not afraid to speak up and fight against injustice, especially when it involves her students. She tries to better the lives of the kids she works with to a level they have never experienced before. This often results in them calling her “mom” and that says more about her than any words ever could. Everyone would describe Kandace as “genuine and loving”. She has already adopted one little boy and has equipped him with the confidence he needs to take on the world."

Brandon is a wonderful husband and father. I could not have asked for anything more as a role model and “bonus” dad to my little one. We work, play, cry, and laugh together. He is my rock and never ceases to amaze me. I was so fearful that my infertility struggles might push him away but he was more than I deserved during those difficult moments. He’s compassionate, goofy, and all kinds of weirdness rolled into one and he brings the fun and craziness to our household. Legos, Nerf gun wars, Ninja fighting, and tickle monsters are a constant, thanks to this man. I am thankful for his faith in God and for his daily reminders that we are “in this together”. I cannot wait to see Brandon step into the “dad” role once again!

Building Our Family Through Adoption

Our Letter To You

It is with truly grateful hearts that we Thank You for taking the time to look through our profile today. We recognize both the difficulty and the courage required in this process. It is our hope that something in our story will find you with the greatest peace as you move forward through this process. We have so much love for you already and pray for you daily.

Our promise to you is this: we will love your baby unconditionally. We will delight in your child and will always treat them like what they say matters and that their ideas are worthy. We hope that if we do this, they will feel “anything is possible for me”. We will share their birthstory with them because we understand the importance of family and understanding identity. We want them to know who they came from and we want you to be as much of the child’s life as you would like to be. We are open and happy to share as many pictures, videos, and stories as you would like to hear. We really enjoy doing this with Sawyer’s birthmother and we are excited to add you to our family too.

The life your child will have with us will be filled with family parties, lots of chances to explore the world, a supportive community, a great education, and tons of love. We may not know you but we send you all of our love.

Our Parenting Style

Love and understanding! We know that every child is different and what works with one may not work with the other. We are aware of this fact and try to meet every situation with love and understanding. We are real and we want to offer guidance around life situations and not punishment. Brandon and I were both raised where punishment was priority and we vow to be different with out children. We never want them to have a single moment of feeling unloved.

Our Story

Our Home

We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home just north of Nashville. It is a small, family oriented town and our neighborhood is full of other children and a few of our amazing friends. We have a community pool where we spend most of our summer days! We love being so close to major cities as this allows us to be able to experience different festivals and activties very easily.

Our Nursery

Our nursery is pretty much complete thanks to Kandace’s proactiveness and Brandon’s willingness to build things at the drop of a hat :) Our theme is “We will love you ’til the cows come home” and it has turned out so much better than we envisioned.

Our Pets

We have 2 small dogs and they are so spoiled! Flurry is a Miniature Eskimo Spitz and is very attached to all of us. Her favorite thing is to cuddle anyone that has a blanket. She is such a sweet furbaby.

Champ is an English Bulldog/Pomeranian. We did not know this breed was possible but we are thankful to have stumbled upon him. He is an energetic little pup and looks forward to his play time each day. Once he plays, he only wants to cuddle.
