We Karl, Nicky, Izzy and Elizabeth are currently a family of four who are all eager to add to our family. We own and live on our private horse farm in the heart of Texas where we have a fun outdoor life riding horses, swimming, grilling out and spending time with family and friends with the pictures and the information about us that you have some sense of who we are as a family .
What Nicky has to say about Karl: Karl was born and raised in Michigan along with his two sisters. He grew up playing hockey and in High School began his journey in to the world of architecture. After High School, he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA and earned three degrees in Architecture. After working in Boston, Detroit, and New York, he moved out to Colorado and met his dream girl in Nicky and they began planning and building a life around horses. He is still working in architectural as a senior architect for a global architectural/engineering firm. Luckily he is able to do his job from home so he is always around to be involved in our kids daily lives.
what karl wants you to know about Nicky: she was adopted by her parents at 6 months and they showered her with all the love and support a parent could give. Along with herself, they also adopted her twin sister. She and her sister aren’t the only adopted members of her family. She has cousins and a niece who were also adopted and she comes from a very supportive family and extended family. Nicky is an animal lover, and shares that love with her two daughters. She has her horses here at our farm, along with cows, donkeys, dogs and barn cats. She is a very loving and caring mother who cares most about her kids happiness and well-being.
We pray that you feel supported, loved and encouraged as you consider what the best choice is for you and your child because we cannot imagine what you are going through but please understand that we are grateful and blessed that you are choosing adoption and your baby is very lucky to have you care so much about their future.
We both meet here with our own unique stories that brought us here. We are both here because we have love in our hearts. Even though we don’t know each other right now, know that we support you.
with the pictures and the information about us that you have some sense of who we are as a family know we will love this baby unconditionally , it is our intention to express to you that we are based on trust , love, support, encouragement and honesty. We have a wonderful extended family and friends who will also give so much love to this child as well.

that we will help them learn to cope with those feelings so that they will be able to handle any situation that life may throw their way. We want them to feel comfortable coming to us about anything, even if they did make a mistake. I want them to feel heard
God created them to be exactly who they are for a reason. We always be their biggest supporter in anything that they choose to do. We want to help them find their passion in life. We will teach them to believe in themselves and to always keep trying, even if things get hard.
By watching my our actions, they will see how to be a great friend, spouse, sibling, student, teammate, worker, and one day, a parent themselves. When they become an adult, they will have the tools and support to tackle the problems that life may throw their way.
We will lead by example. As someone who is always striving to better myself and be the best version of myself, I know I will provide for them. We promise to be a protector and a mentor. We will be present
As he grow up, I will help them find their calling and purpose in life. I will be supportive and provide the resources for them to be the best version of themselves. I will show them how to be respectful to others and be respected by others. It will always be my mission to provide them happiness and peace in their lives
We own and live on our private horse farm in the heart of Texas where we live a fun outdoor life riding horses, swimming, grilling out and spending time with friends. We have a close circle of friends all with young kids that play together really well. Even though we live outside of town, it is a great community with kids that all enjoy playing together no matter their ages. Our kids attend a good school system with teaches that try to go above and beyond for their students. On the weekends, we are playing around the farm, going to horse shows, camping, or finding an adventure around the area to go on.
Our girls go back and forth from running around in the grass , playing on the playground, trampoline, to jumping in the pool all summer long. Riding there bikes and rides on to the barn as well. Riding their horses and help feeding the horses , cows and donkeys and also the barn cats as well.
It’s a cowboy Tractor theme It’s a cozy room theres a window that faces out to the horse pasture and barn and can see the sunset and sun rise from the window …. I figure he would love to dream about the farm animals and also see them from the window theres a rocking chair next to the window as well .
Living on a horse farm we have animals of all kinds. Starting with the horses, we have show horses, a few retired horses, and some horses for our kids. These are very well trained, gentle horses that know their job and are very good at it. Our 6 year old rides her horse around by herself and our 3 year old loves getting on their horse and being led around the arena. We also have a number of cows that the kids love going to look at and check on. For dogs, we have a total of seven; three are indoor/outdoor dogs that love to play with the kids in the back yard. The other four are friendly outside farm dogs. We also have multiple barn cats that a very friendly and love the attention the kids give them with down at the barn.
Nicky and I met back in 2013 in Colorado. We were engaged for about 2 years and got married in 2015 on a dude ranch in Colorado. We knew we wanted to raise our kids in a farm life setting .
Our youngest daughter is Elizabeth and she is 3 yrs old and she is very outgoing and loves to be outside and loves animals. Izzy is 6 yrs old and she just started elementary school. She loves to be outside and go to horse shows with her mom. She loves to ride her horse and is starting to get in to 4-H with a lot of the kids she goes to school with. Both girls are looking forward to having a brother or bothers join them as part of the family.
Holidays:
Christmas is our favorite we get all the inflatables décor out we put Christmas lights on the house we watch xmas movies through dec the night before Christmas we watch Muppets xmas it has been a tradition my family did when I was little we listen to Christmas music through out dec we go and do drive through xmas lights we put up a Christmas tree and stockings we do Christmas matching pj theme we do a little elf that comes and visits the girls and leaves notes and such we make cookies and our favorite food and also watch football
New years we get matching t-shirts and we watch red wings hockey team
Thanksgiving and Christmas we usual go and be with family either myside of the family or we go to Karls side of the family we route each year on family
