First, thank you so much for considering us. We understand how much courage it takes when thinking about adoption and we are extremely grateful.
Children have been a blessing in our lives, and we would love to welcome a child to call our own into our family. Our friends and families join us in committing to provide a lifetime of nurture and support, education, family adventures, and unconditional love. We appreciate you taking the time to learn about our family.
We want to be involved and present parents who will ensure our child has a life full of love, security, stability, and an understanding of his/her parents complete and unconditional loyalty and devotion. We want our son or daughter to enjoy life, to have fun, and believe that all children deserve a creative, imaginative, active, and carefree childhood, where he/she can enjoy simple and uncomplicated children’s games and activities. Our child will have opportunities to play with friends, will enjoy the love, nurture, and fun that is found in relationships with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and extended family, will be involved in activities that help teach the joy that can be found in reading and learning. They will be encouraged to discover and explore in nature, and will experience adventurous family camping trips and vacations.
They will also have opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities, including music, art, and sports, which will help build friendships and support systems while teaching discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and self-control.
We want to to raise a child who is non-judgmental, accepting, and
open-minded, and who is always respectful of others’ feelings and views and their differences, including cultural, ethnic, racial, special needs, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic differences. They will be raised to be respectful, considerate, compassionate, selfless, service-minded, generous, and a positive influence on the world.

We live in a suburb outside of Nashville, Tennessee with two parks, walking trails, playgrounds, great neighbors and jeep rides to see deer,
turkey, horses and more. We are just 15 minutes from downtown Nashville where we love to enjoy great music, some of the best food in the South, the
Nashville Zoo, Adventure Science Museum, Children’s Theatre, sporting events, and plenty of family activities.
Our four-bedroom home is built for an active family, including a swimming pool, plenty of space to run and play, basketball goal, and garage basement with gym and games.

Our nursery is set-up with a crib and day bed, colorful animals on the wall painted by a local artist. Colors are warm and peaceful with everything the baby will need at hand.

We have two Goldendoodles from the same little who are the most cuddly and adorable pets you could ask for. they love playing with their toys and fetching ball outside. Out neighbor’s grandkids always love to come and play with them when they visit.

When we first met on a dance floor in Nashville, Tennessee, we never thought we would be getting married and starting a family. Actually Flint did. He looked at his best friend, pointed at John and said, “That guy is going to be my boyfriend.” Ten years from that day, we were standing in a church saying, “I do!” We have been happily married since 2013. We live
in a home and city we love surrounded by a network of friends and family –
everything we need for our next chapter, and we are excited to welcome a child into our family.
John grew up in a small town in West Tennessee and has always loved the
outdoors – camping, biking, hiking, and swimming. As an adult he loves to travel and experience new cultures. John grew up surrounded by a large family, and he has a wonderful younger sister. He has an amazing niece and many young cousins. Faith and family have always been the center of John’s life. As a couple, we enjoy traveling with John’s parents, sister and
family to the beach, mountains, and Disney World. We also enjoy when
they make trips to Nashville.
Flint has been with his current job for 10 years, engaging over 2,000 volunteers across Tennessee for disaster relief, blood collections, and more. His colleagues were very supportive when they fostered by sending diapers, clothing, and lots of advice. In addition to the flexibility to work from home, Flint’s employer now offers paternity leave for adoption. From painting to gardening, Flint loves learning. He is now re-learning piano. Flint tries to swim every day in the spring, summer, and fall.
Flint was the baby of his family with two sisters: Tammy and Sherry. Flint’s mother has ten grandchildren who call her Granna. Flint’s late father, Poppa, left a legacy of giving, hard work and family first. Flint’s father would organize cabin trips for the whole family. Flint and his sisters continue this tradition each year by hosting the family pre-
Christmas cabin celebration.
Thank you for reading our story and letting us tell you a little more about ourselves. Hopefully you have an idea of who we are as a family and who we
want to be as parents. We understand the awesome responsibility of raising a child to reach their fullest potential, and we would be honored if you chose us.
