Hello, we’re Cody and Pascal, a married couple who makes a point to live with intention and purpose while laughing along the way! We love to travel the world (as reading about new places just isn’t enough) and also give back to our community via various charities. We’re excited at the possibility of being Fathers one day so we really appreciate you for taking the time to get to know us a little more! We look forward to the chance to get to know you as well!
About Cody (In Pascal’s Words): One of the first things you’ll notice about Cody (the other being his brilliant smile) is his infectious, warm energy that shifts the mood in any space he enters to be inviting, friendly and fun. He has the natural ability to always display confidence and empower others to be themselves and do the same. This makes sense when you discover that his love for art, music and theater run deep. This love isn’t a hobby, but his way of seeing the world, a lens through which everything becomes a little more vivid and a little more meaningful.
About Pascal (In Cody’s Words): The way that Pascal views the world is so special because in a world that can be so hard on us as black men he always finds peace and solace in the midst of any storm and because of that there is always a sense of calm and safety in his presence. He’s such a gift that keeps on giving in that way. Also, what’s even more special about Pascal (as if I had the time to list them all) is that he’s so talented at baking! He’s so good I bought him a professional Baking Mixer! Anything that you can think of he’s down to make it from scratch. Cookies, Cakes, Pies and even Ice Cream! His motto is “Why buy it when we can make it!”
We want to start by acknowledging that from our perspective, whatever the circumstances are that lead you to develop an adoption plan for your baby, that act alone is truly one of the most loving and selfless acts that you could do. In the end, you want your child to feel loved, supported, protected and given opportunities to do and explore anything that their heart desires. This is a message that we’re in agreement with because it’s the life that we intend to provide to your child as that life was provided to us growing up.
We are committed to providing a home filled with stability, faith, trust, protection, love and honesty. We as a couple, do not benefit from erasing you from your child’s memory. It is our mission to include you in their life story as it is a fact that because of you and your love that we will get to experience fatherhood! That’s beautiful to us and we want to honor that and that can only be done by acknowledging your bravery in this journey.
As you decide which family you feel is best we want you to know that we intend to provide our future child a life of culture, family traditions, unconditional love, and laughter while supporting all of their endeavors and guiding them through all of life’s lessons while being the best support system that we know how to be.
As future parents, we intend to support all of our child’s dreams and goals, helping them nurture their natural talents and helping them discover new ones while also guiding them through all of life’s lessons; with all of the support, advice and love necessary for them to succeed. We both grew up with extremely supportive parents who championed us (they still do today) in whatever we wanted to do and they helped cultivate those dreams / desires every chance that they could and we intend to do the same with our child.
Our home is newly built and has 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms with two living room areas where the secondary one is an office / game room. We live in the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) metropolitan area in a location surrounded by great school options, very family friendly / oriented, multiple lakes and parks, kid themed activities (museums, zoo’s, trampoline parks, arcades and etc) and is multi-cultural which was important to us because you should see people that look like you in your community.
Overall, we’re extremely proud of the home that we have built together and it actually makes us feel good when our loved ones come to hang with us and they feel the warmth and comfort the moment they step inside. Our rule is when you come to visit us, feel at home because home is meant to be your safe space and we mean that.
Creole is our big baby and everyone’s favorite Goldendoodle! He’s an absolute joy to everyone that comes in contact with him as he’s all about the love and belly rubs! He’s down to run around in the backyard, play fetch with one of his favorite toys or he’s always game to relax, eat treats and watch a good show/movie with you!
The support system is real and our village is truly a gift in a major way. We literally wake up knowing that we are loved properly by our family! Our parents lift us up in prayer daily and support us in more ways than we can even count – always showing up. Our first cousins who are more like our siblings who we get to crack jokes with from childhood into adulthood. Our friends who have turned into family over the years through their actions. We feel the love each and every day. That love is extended through our godchildren (together we have six total) and it’s a pleasure and a gift to be very active in their lives, watching them grow up to be their own person. With every call and time spent together we’re constantly laughing because the kids are hilarious, whether they know it or not!
Having this level of support and excitement from all of our loved ones as we embark on this journey into fatherhood makes us so happy! We have our parents who can’t wait to be Grandparents, God-Mom’s and God-Grand Mom’s ready to spoil our child as they’ve spoiled us. To cousins prepared to enter their God-Mom era and friends turned family ready to pull up on their Cool Uncle/Auntie vibes! While our God-Babies are thrilled at the thought of being big brothers and big sisters to their favorite Uncles kid! Everyone is prepared to show up and show out being the village they’ve always thrived at being!
