We are Corey and Whitney, a faithful Utah couple longing to adopt after unsuccessful attempts to conceive. Rooted in our love for Jesus Christ, we prioritize God, Family, and Country, living with strong morals. Our warm home and close-knit extended family, including cousins near in age, are ready to embrace a child with love. We promise to raise your child with faith, integrity, and care, honoring your selfless choice. We’re open to discussing your desired connection. With gratitude.

Whitney grew up in Salt Lake City and is known for her kind and compassionate nature. She has a passion for Photography and sewing, and she finds joy in helping others, especially her little patients, by giving them comfort and truly understanding their needs. In her free time, Whitney enjoys baking, traveling with her husband (as being employed at the airport has afforded me that privilege), and spending time with her nieces and nephews, and friends’ children. She also loves watching sports and creating new memories through her adventures. One of Whitney’s greatest dreams is to become a mom for the first time, to shower her baby with love and comfort, and to one day travel together as a family of three.

Corey grew up in Salt Lake City and carried his love for sports with him throughout his life. Whether he’s cheering for the Utah Jazz, LSU, the Utes, BYU, or the Utah hockey team, his passion for the game always shines through. Beyond sports, Corey treasures the time he spends with his wife, and he finds joy in playing the bass guitar. Known for his kind heart and deep love for his friends and family, Corey is the type of person who brings warmth and positivity to those around him. More than anything, he dreams of becoming a father one day, a role he knows he would embrace with the same love and dedication he pours into every part of his life.
Dear Expectant Parent,
We are Corey and Whitney, a devoted couple from Utah, writing to share a glimpse into our lives and our heartfelt desire to grow our family through adoption. After many years of trying to conceive without success, we have felt a clear calling to open our hearts to adoption, trusting that God has a beautiful plan for us to become parents. We are grateful for your courage and love in considering adoption, and we hope this letter offers you a window into who we are and the home we long to share with a child. Our marriage is built on a foundation of faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We strive to live by his teachings, centering our lives around God, Family, and Country – in that order. Our faith guides our daily decisions, from how we treat others to how we nurture our relationships. We are active members of our church community, where we find strength, support, and joy in serving others. Our morals are unwavering, rooted in integrity, compassion, and a commitment to doing what is right. We believe in creating a home filled with love, laughter, and the values that will help a child grow into a kind, faithful, and confident person. We live in a warm, welcoming home in Utah, surrounded by the beauty of nature and a close-knit community. Our extended family is large, loving, and excited to embrace a new member. We are especially blessed to have many cousins close in age who would become fast friends and playmates, sharing adventures and creating lifelong memories together. Family gatherings are a cornerstone of our lives – filled with shared meals, stories, and traditions that celebrate our faith and togetherness. As a couple, we are each other’s best friend and biggest supporters. Corey is a steady, kind-hearted man who loves bringing people together, whether through his work or volunteering at church. Whitney is nurturing and creative, with a passion for teaching and making every moment special, from baking treats to planning family outings. Together, we dream of raising a child with love, guiding them to know God’s grace, and teaching them the importance of family, hard work, and patriotism. We are committed to providing a stable, faith-filled home where a child can thrive, surrounded by encouragement, security, and endless love. We honor the immense love and sacrifice you are considering as you make this decision. We promise to cherish and nurture your child, raising them with the same devotion we hold for our faith and family. If you feel a connection with us, we would be humbled to learn more about you and your hopes for your child’s future. We are open to discussing the level of connection you desire, whether through letters, photos, or more, as we believe in honoring your role in your child’s story. With gratitude and prayers.
Our parenting style is rooted in love, consistency, and respect. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. We value open communication and gentle guidance, setting clear boundaries while also giving space for curiosity and independence. We celebrate learning through play, family traditions, and shared experiences, and we’re committed to nurturing a child’s unique strengths and interests. Most importantly, we aim to provide a stable, joyful home filled with unconditional love, patience, and encouragement so that a child always knows they are cherished and secure.
Our home is a cozy two-bedroom, two-bathroom town-home apartment that provides both comfort and convenience. The layout is warm and inviting, offering plenty of space for family life while still being easy to maintain. Within the property, we enjoy access to two swimming pools, which are perfect for relaxing on warm days or spending time together outdoors. Our back, we are surrounded by beautiful mountain views, giving our home a peaceful and scenic backdrop that we love. The community setting also has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it a wonderful place for children to grow and thrive.
Our location offers exceptional convenience as well as opportunities for
enrichment and family activities. We are within walking distance of several
well-maintained parks, our local library, and driving distance to Hogle Zoo, each providing unique spaces for learning, exploration, and play. In addition, essential shopping and a variety of retail centers are located nearby, ensuring that daily needs are easily met. With its combination of comfort, natural beauty, and accessibility, our home provides a nurturing and stable environment, perfectly suited for building lasting memories together.
Our nursery is a cozy, welcoming space filled with love and thoughtfulness in every detail. Soft colors, gentle lighting, and carefully chosen decorations make it a peaceful place to rest and grow. We’ve filled the shelves with books and toys to spark imagination, and there’s a comfy chair perfect for story time and snuggles. More than anything, the room is a reflection of the joy and anticipation we feel as we prepare to share our hearts and hope with a child.
The Extended Smith Family is a big part of our lives, and we are so grateful for the love and support they bring. We are very close and spend a lot of time together – whether it’s Sunday dinners, all holidays, or family vacations. Whitney’s parents and sister live just minutes away, and another brother and sister in law are a few min away with their little boy and a new baby arriving in April. Whitney also has a sister and brother in law in St George with 5 kids, and a brother and sister in law in Las Vegas with two little boys, the youngest born in August. Cousins are close in age and love playing together, and we make it a priority to visit our family in St George and Vegas several times a year. From backyard BBQs to baseball games and fun adventures, there is always something bringing us together, and with grandparents thrilled about three new grand-babies arriving just months apart, our family bonds continue to grow even stronger.
The Extended Hair Family is very close-knit and loves spending time together. Corey’s parents live just minutes away (soon right across the street), a brother and sister in law and their 2 kids only 15 minutes from us, and a sister just a short drive away. He has another sister and brother-in-law who live 2 hours away with their 6 kids, but we make it a priority to see them often as well. We have many traditions that keep us connected, like Black Friday (Thanksgiving) and St Patrick’s Day, and enjoying other holidays as a family. Once a month, we gather for a big Sunday meal, and every summer we plan a weekend getaway-whether it’s camping or another fun family vacation. No matter the occasion, there is always laughter, love, and togetherness when the Hair’s come together.
Our journey to adoption has been filled with both challenges and growth, but it has led us to where we know we are meant to be. Since getting married, we have spent 6 years trying to conceive, including 4 rounds of IUI, but have not been able to get pregnant. While this was difficult to accept at first, we felt strongly that our story wasn’t ending there. After much prayer, research, and reflection, we realized that adoption is the path we are meant to take. From a young age, we both knew that parenthood was an important part of our lives- Whitney has dreamed of becoming a mother since she was 5 years old. Though the road has not been easy, it has strengthened our love, our faith, and our commitment to becoming parents, and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption.
