Hello! We are John and Melissa from Georgia, and we are so excited to start our adoption journey. We are parents to two little boys whom we absolutely adore and we desire to add one more little love to our family through adoption. We know this time is filled with uncertainty and difficulty as you try to plan the best option for your baby. We are deeply grateful for the time you spend reading our profile and getting to know our family. With love, John & Melissa

Melissa is the kindest, most caring woman I’ve ever met. From the first moment I spoke with her, I knew she was someone I wanted in my life. She’s an amazing mother, an exceptional nurse, and the best partner anyone could ever ask for. She loves our kids and is always there to kiss a boo-boo or help them pick themselves up when they fall. Whether it’s decorating the house for EVERY holiday, volunteering in the classroom, or helping the kids with their crafts, her love for life always shines through. Her selfless dedication to her family is evident in everything that she does. Her faith in God is unshakeable. She’s looking forward to having another little one to love, nurture, and watch grow! Melissa’s favorite things: -Bible study -Scrapbooking -Hiking -Reading -Family game night -Chocolate chip cookies (extra chocolate chips of course) -Exercising -Doing crafts with the kids -Traveling

John is the most patient, loving, and kind man that I’ve ever known. I am so blessed to have him as my husband and the father of our children. He is so selfless and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He sacrifices so much to make sure our family is taken care of. His ability to remain calm in any situation brings peace to everyone he comes across. He encourages our children to try new activities and is always there to lend a helping hand. He loves playing sports in the backyard with our children, sharing his love of roller coasters with our boys, teaching them how to cook, and taking them on adventures to the aquarium and zoo. He makes fatherhood look effortless, and I know that adding another little love to our family would bring him so much joy! Dear Birth Parents,
We are writing this letter to share our heartfelt motivation to pursue adoption for our family and to express the purpose behind our decision to grow our family in this way.
We believe that family is defined not solely by biology, but by love, commitment, and the choice to care for one another unconditionally. Our desire to adopt is rooted in our genuine longing to provide a stable, nurturing, and loving home for a child in need. It is our hope and desire to provide a place where a child can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. We are a Christian family and cannot wait to love your precious baby as Jesus loves us. We are committed to raising our children in a faith-based home so they too can experience the love of Jesus Christ. We feel called by the Lord to grow our family through adoption.
We understand that adoption is not just a one-time decision or one to make lightly, but a lifelong commitment to provide a child with love, patience, and learning. We are committed to honoring the unique identity and story of the child we adopt, supporting them in understanding their background, and providing a safe space to explore who they are.
Ultimately, our motivation is simple and pure. It is our desire to give a child unconditional love. We believe that every child deserves a permanent family, and we are ready—with open hearts and open arms—to be that family.
We believe that not only would we be welcoming your sweet baby into our family but that we are welcoming you as well. We would love to get to know you and build a relationship with you through FaceTime or Zoom. We will send you photos, letters, and cards regularly through printed mail or email upon your request. We can commit to one annual in person visit but are open to more if you are interested and we are able to schedule a time that works with your schedule and ours. We also understand that if a commitment is made and some time is needed between visits, that the frequency may change. We can reschedule a visit when you are ready to do so.
Please know that we understand how difficult this decision is for you as you work to make the best decision for your baby. We understand the loss and grief that comes with choosing to place your child for adoption. We are thinking of you no matter what decision you choose to pursue. Thank you for considering our family as part of our adoption journey. We would love to walk this journey with you.
With gratitude and sincerity,
John and Melissa
We love being parents. Parenting is the hardest but most rewarding job there is. We take our responsibility to ensure that our children are raised to be kind, respectful, selfless, and productive members of society extremely seriously. We believe that each child is unique and a precious gift. We believe that it is important to make sure that our children know that we love them beyond measure. It is important to us that they feel like they can come to us with any problem, and we will help them work through it without judgement. We, as parents, are their safe space and we work hard to make sure they know that. We feel that it truly takes a village to raise a child, and we have carefully built a village that loves our children as much as we do. Our village consists of aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, our fabulous nanny, neighbors, and our pediatrician. We understand the importance of being honest with our children so they know that they can trust us. We believe in modeling behaviors for them to learn from and rewarding them when they exhibit good behavior and make good choices.

We live in a suburb just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. John grew up locally and Melissa moved to the area from Texas about 15 years ago. Melissa grew up on her family farm, which her family still owns, and she visits to this day. The farm has approximately 100 acres to explore. It is perfect for climbing trees, feeding the horses or chickens, or running free on the land. Our family has made so many core memories on that farm. Our home is in a small, close-knit neighborhood with lots of families and children. Our neighborhood hosts block parties in the summer and has year-round activities for the children to enjoy. Our neighborhood is big on celebrating holidays. Nearly every house is decorated for any given holiday. We have 4 bedrooms and a large, dedicated playroom that our boys love to spend all their time in. This allows every child in our family to have their very own bedroom. We also have a large, fenced backyard to play games in. You can find John out there grilling or playing ball with the kids when the weather is nice

Our nursery is set up and ready to welcome your sweet baby. We have a crib ready along with a very special rocking chair that has rocked both of our boys from birth. We have toys and lovies waiting to welcome your sweet baby. It is a space that is filled with love and peace that we have created to nurture a child. We hope to spend many years rocking and loving on another little one here.

We have three of the sweetest kittens, Knox, Bingo, and Apollo.

About John and Melissa
John is a Paramedic and Melissa is a Nurse. We both have a love of helping and serving others. We believe that serving others is our spiritual gift and God’s purpose for our lives. It’s what drew Melissa to John in the first place! We met online in July 2016. Melissa took the first step and reached out to John first. His profile showed that he worked at a theme park in First Aid. Here’s a fun fact for you, Melissa had previously worked as a paramedic there as well. She thought it was awesome to have that in common! After speaking for over a month, we finally went on our first date, and what a wonderful date it was! We both left the date and told our families that we had met “the one”. It was truly love at first sight. We got engaged in January 2017 and married on June 21, 2017. We renewed our vows on our five-year anniversary to celebrate our love story. We absolutely adore our two boys. We are hoping to adopt one more bundle of joy to make our family whole. We love to travel and make memories together as a family. We enjoy being outdoors and are always looking for new places to explore. We can often be found hiking on the weekends, spending afternoons at theme parks, playing sports in the backyard, or picnicking at a local park. We spend time at our happy place, the beach, every summer. We are also a Disney family and love to see the magic through our boys’ eyes. We also visit Melissa’s family farm in Texas as often as we can. We love baking with our boys – sprinkle cookies are their specialty! We know that these special memories will live with our children forever and will be passed on for generations to come. We both work full-time but work opposite schedules. It is very important to us that one of us is home with our children as much as possible. We do have help from family and our amazing nanny when needed, so our children do not go to daycare. We have the two sweetest kittens in the world, Knox and Bingo, who love snuggling with their people.
Big Brother
Our oldest son is the best big brother. He is so patient with his little brother and loves to build Legos and ride bikes with him. He enjoys reading, playing video games (what teen doesn’t), spending time with his friends, playing board games with his parents, and building robots. Science is his jam, and he loves sharing his knowledge with others. He is so kind and gentle with younger kids, and they just flock to him! He is very excited to have another little sibling.
Little Brother
Our youngest son has a heart of pure gold. He makes friends wherever he goes! He is such an outgoing little guy. He makes it a point to include everyone while playing so that no one is left out. He shares John’s love of adventure and is always willing to try new activities. He loves Legos, riding his bike, playing baseball, and making crafts. He is always drawing or painting pictures. The refrigerator is covered with his creations! He is so excited to be a big brother!
We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful village around us that consists of family, friends, our church family, and neighbors.
Our Family
John has one sister, three nephews, and two nieces. His father is deceased, but his mother lives in the area and is actively involved in our children’s lives. We are able to see John’s side of the family regularly. Melissa has a brother and a sister, an adult nephew, and an adult niece. Both her parents are still living. Melissa’s side of the family does not live locally, but we keep in touch through lots of phone calls and hours of FaceTime, as well as taking road trips to Melissa’s family farm.
Our Friends
We have several close friends in the area who we consider family rather than friends. We make it a priority to get together with them as often as we can. We have been lucky enough to know many of them for well over a decade. They are so loving and supportive of us and our family. We also get together with our neighbors often, attending neighborhood celebrations and block parties during the summer months.

We thank you for your time and consideration as you search for the best family for your child. We believe that it is truly an honor to be blessed with your child should you choose us to be their parents. It is our sincere hope that we can provide your child with a lifetime of unconditional love, safety, and support. Please know that we fully believe that not only are we gaining a new family member with your child joining our family, but we are also gaining you as a precious family member as well. We understand the level of trust that a birth family is placing in us by choosing our family for their little one. We are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to have your child placed with us. We also understand the level of loss and grief that comes with choosing adoption for your child. We are praying for you as you go through this process, and our hearts are with you no matter what decision you make.
