We are a family of five who loves spending time together, swimming in the pool, enjoying the kids' favorite treats, staying active, and making memories on our farm. John is a nurse practitioner, and I am a pediatrician. Our three children can't wait to welcome a baby sister. Sylar is kind, athletic, and always looking out for others. Ember is our little nurturer who adores everything about babies, and Jasper is our joyful jokester who joined our family through adoption.
We want to start by saying how deeply honored we are that you are considering us to raise your child. We can’t imagine how difficult this decision must be, and we want you to know that we hold immense respect for the love and courage that brought you here.
Our hope is that this letter, along with the pages you’ll see in our portfolio, can give you a sense of who we are, the life we have built, and the love we hope to share with your child. We have been blessed to grow our family through adoption, and we’ve watched our children form deep bonds, love unconditionally, and embrace a new sibling with open hearts. We hope this gives you a sense of the connection and joy your child will find in our family: a place where they will be cherished, supported, and celebrated every day.
Please know that we will always honor you and your role in your child’s story. We will celebrate you, speak of you with gratitude, and keep your child’s best interest at the center of every decision we make. We will love them with all our hearts and provide a home where they can flourish, explore, and feel rooted in family, community, and care.
We are praying for you, for peace and clarity in this journey, and for the knowledge that your child is already deeply loved. Whatever you decide, we hope you feel supported and reassured that your child’s life will be filled with love and joy.
With love and gratitude,
John & Tabitha
We don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. Every child is wonderfully unique, with their own personality, strengths, challenges, and needs. Because of that, we believe the best parenting style is one that grows and changes alongside each child.
Our approach is rooted in love, patience, consistency, and open communication. We take the time to understand what each child needs to feel supported, encouraged, and confident. Sometimes that means offering extra guidance, sometimes it means giving a little more independence, and often it means adjusting our approach as they grow and change.
We see parenting as a lifelong journey of learning. We are always willing to listen, adapt, and grow because we want each child to feel seen, understood, and deeply loved for exactly who they are. Our goal is to create a home where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to become the very best version of themselves.
We live in a spacious 5,000-square- foot farmhouse filled with toys, puzzles, games, books: everything a child could need to learn, play, and grow. It’s a home full of laughter, love, and cozy spaces for reading, creativity, and family time. The children attend a private Christian school, and our home is a place where faith, learning, and fun are all part of daily life. We love spending time together outside, playing with our animals, building bonfires, and swimming in the pool. These simple joys make our home a place full of laughter, love, and happy memories.
Life on our farm is full of furry, feathered, and four-legged friends! We have cows and chickens that provide fresh meat and eggs, teaching us the value of hard work, gratitude, and where our food comes from. Our playful goats and cuddly bunnies are favorites for snuggles and always bring smiles, especially when it’s baby season. And we can’t forget our water babies, the ducks and geese, who keep the farm lively with their unique personalities and daily antics.
Our animals are more than just part of the farm, they’re part of our family. Caring for them is woven into our everyday life and gives children the opportunity to learn responsibility, compassion, patience, and respect for nature. There’s always something exciting happening on the farm, and we love the idea of sharing those experiences and making lifelong memories together as a family.
We promise to love your child with our whole hearts and to provide a home filled with safety, stability, laughter, and faith. We promise to raise your child with God at the center of our family, teaching them kindness, compassion, and the value of loving others well. Your child will always know how deeply wanted they are and how much love surrounded their story from the very beginning.
We promise to honor you and the courageous, selfless love behind your decision. We will speak of you with respect and gratitude and make sure your child understands the important role you hold in their life and heart. Your child’s story will always be told with honesty and tenderness.
We also promise openness and connection in the way that feels most comfortable to you. We are committed to sharing updates, texts, and photos as often as you desire, especially during meaningful moments such as holidays, birthdays, and other important milestones. We want you to be able to see your child grow, celebrate their joys, and know they are thriving and deeply loved.
With God’s guidance, we promise to walk this journey with humility and gratitude, always keeping your child’s best interests at the center of our hearts and home.
