Hi! We’re Katya and Drew, a loving couple from Glastonbury, Connecticut. We share a life filled with laughter, creativity, family time, adventures, and plenty of love with our two rescue dogs, Daisy and Minnie. We’re so excited to grow our family through adoption and look forward to welcoming a child into our home, where they will always be surrounded by love, support, and encouragement.

Katya, as told by Drew: Katya—or “Kot,” as we call her—is the love of my life and the heart of our family, she is everything to me. She gives off infinite light and warmth, like the sun, and everyone in her orbit feels it. She’s the most loving, caring, and nurturing soul I’ve ever known, and I can’t imagine a better mom. As an art therapist, Katya shares her gifts with those who need healing and guidance. Off the clock, she continues to do the same—as a wife, an aunt (“TiTi”), a daughter, a sister, a friend, and the best mom Daisy + Minnie could ever ask for. Her stunning smile, scooches (our word for hugs), wisdom, and strength make life brighter every single day. Katya will be an incredible mother—patient, selfless, and overflowing with unconditional love. I thank my lucky stars every morning and night for this extraordinary woman who makes our world better just by being in it.

Drew, as told by Katya: Drew is brilliant, kind, and endlessly funny—he’s the person everybody wants on their team, and I am so grateful he is on mine. He grew up in Connecticut, spent years in California following his creative calling, and returned home after his father’s passing—a season that deepened his heart and sense of purpose. He’s an accomplished writer, a big thinker, and an impressive collector of many things—sneakers, stories, and some of the coolest concert posters I’ve ever seen. He listens with presence, loves deeply, and fills our days with meaning. He’s motivated, driven, and the most hardworking guy I know. He shows up, because it matters. Loyal, supportive, and genuinely the sweetest person ever. Drew is my greatest adventure, my calm in the storm, and the one I trust with every version of our lives ahead. I can already see the father he’ll be—honest, playful, and truly devoted to his family.
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you. Truly. Thank you for taking the time to consider us and for the courage it takes to even be reading this. We’re Katya + Drew. We’ve been on the path toward parenthood for a while now, and it has shaped us in ways we could never have imagined. There has been intense loss along the way, and there has been so much love and hope. What we’ve learned is that family is built through many kinds of arrivals, and we are ready for ours to arrive through you. We are so grateful that you are considering adoption. The choice you are making is one of profound love, and we do not take lightly the trust it requires to place your child with a family. Whoever you choose, we want you to know that your child will be cherished, and you will be honored—not just in the moment of placement, but for the rest of their life. We hope you’ll take a look at our profile book and get to know us—our home, our family, our friends, and the life we’ve built together. We would be honored to be considered. However you decide, we are sending you strength, love, and gratitude.
With Care,
Katya + Drew
Our parenting style is rooted in attachment, attunement, and play. We believe deeply that the parent-child relationship is the foundation for everything—emotional safety, confidence, curiosity, resilience. We want our home to be a place where our child feels seen, heard, and celebrated as their whole self from the very beginning.
Listening is at the center of how we parent. We want our child to feel that their voice matters, their feelings are valid, and that there is always someone here to hold space with them through whatever they’re navigating. We believe children are whole people from the start, deserving of dignity, respect, and honest communication—and we want to model those same qualities in how we treat them and everyone around us.
We also believe childhood should be full of joy, freedom, imagination, and wonder. Our home is a place for art, play, curiosity, and adventure. We want our child to feel free to be exactly who they are, to make messes, ask questions, try things, and know they are loved through all of it.
When hard moments come—and they will—our approach is co-regulation before correction. We meet dysregulation with connection first, and work through things together as a team. We hold boundaries with warmth, explain the why, and treat every hard moment as an opportunity to strengthen trust rather than break it.
Above all, we want to raise a child who knows they are deeply loved, deeply respected, and completely free to become who they are meant to be.

We live in Glastonbury, Connecticut, on a quiet double cul-de-sac where children are always out riding bikes and neighbors know one another. It’s a place where community happens naturally and the outdoors is always calling. Family is close by too—relatives just fifteen minutes in either direction, and a cousin right down the road. Just beyond us there are beautiful natural spaces in every direction. One of our favorite spots has stunning tall pines that create a kind of safe container, and we love walking there with the dogs. Another offers hiking paths and waterfalls just a short distance away. The farms all around mean apple picking in the fall and berry picking in the summer. It is a truly beautiful place to raise a child.
Our home sits on a fully fenced yard with tall trees, open green space, and gardens full of flowers and vegetables—room for our dogs to play and for little feet to run. In spring, lilacs bloom along the yard, and our beloved flowering plum tree bursts into stunning pink blossoms for just a week or so—a fleeting gift we look forward to every year. Inside, every room holds something we love. There’s a record room and library where we listen to music, play Scrabble, and sit surrounded by books, family photos, concert posters, and treasures from our travels. I have my art studio and Drew has his office, and the family room, with its big comfortable couch, is where we gather for movies, shows, and our newest video game.
Our home is layered with art, plants, crystals, and the small relics of a life built together. In winter, we light the fireplaces when the snow falls; in the evenings, the sunsets fill the sky with color. And down the hall, the baby’s room waits—ready and full of love.
Glastonbury is also known for its exceptional public schools, among the top-ranked in all of Connecticut, which means our child will have every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive right here in our community.
Warm, creative, and grounded, our home is simply waiting for a child to grow, play, and belong here.

Our nursery is bright and soft, filled with gentle light and a sense of wonder. The crib sits at the center of the room, dressed in stars and moons, with a mobile of little golden moons that turns slowly above it. It’s a room made for dreaming.
It’s also full of friends waiting to be met—a giraffe standing tall in his Orioles cap, a tiger, a hand-sewn racoon, and Elmo, all keeping watch until the newest member of our family arrives. On the dresser, a little collection of nature books—an anthology of shells, of flowers, of rocks and minerals—is held up by hand-painted XO bookends made by our niece Eloise, a piece of her love already woven into this room.
Nearly everything here was passed down with love from my sister, who saved it all from our two nieces. Every piece carries family history in it, waiting to hold the next little one who joins us. From the window, you can see the green trees outside, and everywhere you look there is softness, warmth, and love.
This room has been ready for a while now. It’s simply waiting for the baby who will make it complete.

Our future baby will have some four-legged siblings welcoming them home with open paws. We adopted both of our doogers from The Hotel for Homeless Dogs in Cumberland, Rhode Island and they are the most loving and playful girls. Daisy is 4 and loves to lounge around the house or lay out in the sun. Minnie is 1 and a ball of energy, but also loves cuddling up with you on the couch or in bed. Both of our girls are incredibly gentile with kids and have had lots of practice with careful play when our nieces were younger. We’re enjoying our time with the dogs now because we know when the baby comes, Daisy and Minnie are just going to want to hang out in the nursery all the time. They are very excited to welcome a new brother or sister into their pack.

Outside of mom and dad, this baby will be welcomed into a large, loving family who can’t wait to meet them. Three grandparents, five aunts and uncles, lots of cousins, and a huge extended family and community of friends are all ready to shower this baby with love. We’re so grateful for the amazing support system we have, knowing this baby will grow up with the greatest village surrounding and holding them close. We both grew up in large families and know how important it was in shaping our character and values, and we hope to give this baby the same opportunity to grow and learn while feeling safe and protected. Above all, this family will provide our new baby with a most-cherished sense of belonging.
