- New York -
We are George and Evelyn in New York: a home full of love, laughter, family and travel, with financial security, a stay-at-home mom and three very friendly dogs. Expenses paid, valid home study approved. We would love to hear from you.

George is happiest in the simple moments—horseback riding, playing basketball or pickleball with friends, or just being around animals, especially our three dogs. When we visit Spain, he spends a lot of time with his cousin, Helena, and her children — playing in the pool, hanging out with them, just keeping them entertained for hours. He is always the first to play with the kids. Above all, he values family, and there is nothing he looks forward to more than building one with me!

I’m really excited to devote myself to raising a child. I went to college in Boston, where I earned a degree in marketing, and later got my law degree with a focus on human rights. I run a successful charity that is dedicated to helping families, children, and communities in need. Because I work from home, am my own boss and have very flexible hours, I will be around throughout the day to always be present for the baby!
Hi, we are George and Evelyn
Thank you so much for taking the time to look through our profile and get to know us a little. We know this is a deeply personal decision for you, and we want you to know how much we respect the thought and love behind it. Considering an adoption plan for your child takes real courage and selflessness, and we admire that more than we can say.
We love children and feel ready to become parents, and growing our family through adoption is something that matters deeply to both of us. Our relationship is loving, steady, and committed, and we have built a secure life together that we are excited to share with a child. We hope to give your child a home that is warm, stable, financially secure and full of unconditional love.
It is not just the two of us who are hoping to welcome a child. There is a whole circle of family, friends, and loved ones ready to be part of his or her world. A child who we are so blessed to adopt would be surrounded by really wonderful people who care about them and who will be there for them, and for us, as we grow together.
We Are Very Family-Oriented
We both grew up in homes that shaped who we are, and there are many traditions, values, and moments from our childhoods that we hope to pass on. We are both only children, which honestly made us each look forward even more to the day we would build a family of our own. Both sets of parents are eagerly waiting to be first-time grandparents.
George was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. His mother, Rosa, and father, Xavier, are both doctors, but despite their busy schedules, his family sat down together for dinner every night—a home-cooked meal where everyone talked about their day. It was important to finish homework, but there was always time during the week for basketball and swimming. Dinners and that wonderful feeling of being together are things George looks forward to when we are blessed to be parents together. And we are lucky to have two doctors in the family to whom we can address any health questions we will have!
We both value education and will encourage and support our child throughout his or her education. George studied engineering in Barcelona and went on to earn three graduate degrees—in Barcelona, Madrid, and New York City, where he got his master’s degree in data science. His love of adventure is what originally brought him to the United States. He is always looking for new challenges and is very smart and successful, so he started his own business. In addition to English, he speaks Catalan and Spanish—something he hopes to share with our child someday.

I (Evelyn) grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. My parents, Lynn and Ken, both worked, yet they were always there to support me in school and encourage my interests—Girl Scouts, horseback riding, and theater.
George describes me as nurturing and a consistent supporter just like my mom and dad, which is one of the biggest reasons that he feels so strongly that I will be such an amazing mom. I feel so lucky to have George as my partner in life.

I find so much joy in the little things—Pilates, dancing, and taking walks in the park. Most of all, I love my life with George—we support each other and have built something genuinely good. We feel so ready to be parents together.
Like I mentioned before, I love children and I am very close with our family and friends’ children. I am honored to be godmother to two of my friends’ children, both my friend Kim’s son, Jack, and my friend Tara’s son, Jackson. I’ve spent a lot of time with them and their siblings over the years—going to their dance recitals, soccer games and birthday parties and traveling with them and their families.
I have close relationships with both of my godchildren, Jack and Jackson, and took each on a special trip, going to Nashville with Jack and Yellowstone with Jackson. I’m also named as the guardian for my friend Tara’s children and for my cousin Jennifer’s daughter, Eva—a responsibility that means the world to me. I’m often with my friend Annie’s children, Eleanor and George (yes, another much younger George in our lives!), picking them up from school for a treat or having them come to the house to play.
We are both so fortunate to grow up in warm and loving homes. We feel so much gratitude for the meaningful things in life, like family and health. The support we received from our parents, the encouragement to try new things, and the knowledge that they would always be there for us are what we most want to give our child.
Our parents cultivated a love of learning in both of us—not just because it creates opportunity, but because it helped us figure out who we want to be. We hope to do the same for your child—to help him or her stay curious, feel free to ask questions, support his or her individual interests and talents even if they are different than ours, and grow into the person he or she chooses to be while always knowing that we are there for him or her whether they succeed, falter or fail.
Our Relationship
We met in New York at a little restaurant, on what seemed like a regular night out. From the moment we started talking, it just felt easy. We talked for hours—about our lives, our dreams, everyday things. By the time we looked up, the restaurant was nearly empty, and neither of us wanted to leave.
What stood out most about the beginning was how natural everything felt. We could tell pretty quickly that we cared about the same things—family, being kind, working hard, and wanting to build something real. We also saw that we balanced each other well. George is more analytical and structured, and I am less structured and more intuitive. Where one of us is strong, the other learns from it.
From that point on, we became inseparable. Life together has been full of adventure but also real support when things get hard, and that has made our relationship what it is. Whether traveling, enjoying Sunday mornings at home, or getting through tough times side by side, we are there for each other. One of those tough times was when our sweet dog Henry was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. We got him into the doctor right away, decided together what to do, and made sure he got the best care possible. I am thrilled to report that Henry beat the odds and is cancer free. That experience showed us how to support each other, make hard decisions as a team, and the value of being a constant advocate for those we love. We know that whatever your child needs, we will be there—we will support and advocate for him or her and be right next to them.
Our Loving Home
We own our home, in a quiet, safe, and secure part of New York City that is full of trees and parks and has a true neighborhood feel. Our home is set up perfectly for us—first floor with the kitchen and living spaces and upstairs are the bedrooms. We have a bedroom very close to ours that we can’t wait to make ready for a baby.
Our neighborhood has great things for families: an indoor pool with a lifeguard, a kids’ clubhouse, and a courtyard with a fountain and seating that connects to our patio. There are a lot of families with young children in the neighborhood, and our close friends Annie and Brandon live nearby with their kids, George and Eleanor, who come over for play dates with our dogs (Eleanor and our dog Henry are best friends) and have used our neighborhood clubhouse for big birthday parties. It already feels like a place built for a family.
On weekends, we love going out to our place near the beach, where life slows down a bit. Our beach house has a big grass yard and a pool. It’s such a great space for children to just run around. We love spending time there with our good friends and their children—jumping in the pool together, afternoons at the beach building sandcastles and collecting shells, and running around with the dogs. I cherish my time with the children in our lives at the beach, and George loves playing with the kids in the pool until everyone is worn out. Those days are some of our favorites, and they make us yearn to adopt and be able to do this as parents together even more.
Our three dogs keep things interesting and are all incredibly sweet and patient and love children. All three are rescues. Henry and Harley are our French Bulldogs—sweet, cuddly, and a constant source of comic relief. And then there is Archie, our new puppy, who is a mixed breed and who came to us as a foster, but once he was here, we could not let him go.

We started our own non-profit focused on animal rescue. This work is personal to both of us, and we want our child to grow up seeing that if you are in a position to help, you do. This is very important to us.
A picture of our family life would not be complete without mentioning Brie and Marianne. They started as our dog walkers and sitters, but over 25 years they have become family.
Holidays, Traditions & Travel
We love the holidays—not just for the traditions, but for the joy they bring and the chance to slow down and be together.
I (Evelyn) have always loved Halloween (it is a newer tradition in Spain that George has gotten into). Our neighborhood is filled with children, and we hand out candy every year. And it will be even more fun to take our child out for trick-or-treating! The dogs also get in on the costumes – this year they were a pig, a lamb, and a cow. We have a huge parade in New York City to celebrate the day. My mom, Lynn, is an expert pumpkin carver and has passed that on to me. And it is always something more fun to do with a child!
Thanksgiving is a big holiday in our family. My parents, Lynn and Ken, visit us in New York. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite days of the year, and we always begin by spending the morning volunteering at a local shelter, helping deliver and serve food to families in need. We come home, watch some football, and then enjoy Thanksgiving dinner as a family—good food, easy conversation, and a long evening together. The rest of the weekend we spend decorating the house for Christmas. We pick out a real tree, hang the ornaments, put on Christmas music, light a fire, drink eggnog, and fill every corner of the house with something festive. We love doing this together and look forward to having your child help pick out ornaments and put up the stockings.
We spend Christmas in Nashville with my mom and dad, Lynn and Ken—opening presents on Christmas Eve and having a big dinner on Christmas Day. Often aunts, uncles, or close friends join too. We look forward to sharing all the best of our family traditions with a child—baking cookies and leaving them out for Santa on Christmas Eve, the excitement of Christmas morning, and building questionably decorated gingerbread houses together.
Family is everything to us, and we make it a priority to see everyone as often as we can. We travel regularly to Spain to be with George’s family, where long meals turn into hours of conversation and multiple rounds of “just one more bite” (because saying no to his Spanish grandmother Rosa’s cooking is simply not an option). George comes from a very large extended family, and they all gather when we visit. After Christmas in Nashville, we leave for Spain to spend Three Kings Day on January 6th with George’s family. There we celebrate a Catalan tradition called El Caga Tió. Throughout December, the family “feeds” a small log character each day—he has a painted face, a red hat, and little legs—and keeps him cozy under a blanket. Then the whole family gathers, the kids sing songs, and they take turns hitting the log with sticks until it “poops” out gifts and treats. It is exactly as chaotic and fun as it sounds!
New Year’s Eve tends to look different each year—sometimes a trip to a new city in or near Europe, and other times we celebrate with friends at our beach house where the town is decorated for the holidays.
In the winter, we also visit my parents in Naples, Florida, for some warmth and sunshine. Those trips are slower—long dinners, catching up, time together. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones with my mom—coffee, getting our nails done, or just sitting together. Naples is also where George likes to play golf and go fishing with my dad, Ken. My dad and George are already talking about how we can’t wait to teach a little girl or boy to fish.
Our day-to-day life is pretty simple. Mornings start with a smoothie or breakfast at home or walking to a spot in the neighborhood. We walk the dogs, chat over coffee, and then George heads to his office nearby while I start my day working from home. Because George’s office is so close, we often meet up for lunch together in the neighborhood, which is one of the nice things about how we have set up our life. Evenings usually end with walking the dogs or hanging out on the couch together. All of these—the trips, the gatherings, and the ordinary days—are what we look forward to sharing with your child.
We’re Lucky To Have A Strong Support System
Both sets of our parents are excited about becoming grandparents and have been hoping for this for a long time. My parents, Lynn and Ken, are hands-on and plan to be very involved — staying with us at our beach house and hosting us in Nashville and Florida. George’s parents, Rosa and Xavier, are equally eager and always ready to stay with us in New York, which they love. Between our parents and our close friends, your child will have so many people to love him or her. We would love to keep in touch with you too and have you and your family as part of his or her life.
Our Promise to You & Your Child
We promise to give your child a safe, stable home where they are loved and free to be exactly who they are. He or she will grow up knowing about you and how blessed you made us to be able to be their parents. We would also like to understand from you what relationship you would like to have with us and your child as he or she grows and also with our family. We are open to many possibilities. This child will have real opportunities and will always know they are the most important part of our lives—not just told, but shown, every day.
Thank You
We appreciate you considering us. We know this is not an easy decision, and we respect what you are going through. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace and comfort.
