Tony & Linsey
– Texas –
We know we don’t look like your typical hopeful adoptive family with already having 5 children of our own, but having a large family is something we have always wanted. Continuing to grow our family through adoption has been something we have both longed for and a conversation we have kept alive in our family for years! Our entire world revolves around our children, their education, and their happiness. One of our most favorite things to do is to travel the world and learn about new cultures which is made possible with our flexible schedule through homeschooling. Big families ensure that there is always plenty of love to go around, and we definitely live and love BIG!
Tony is the calm to my storm. Where I am anxious or stressed, he is calm and collected. He exudes patience. He is the hardest working man I know and fiercely devoted to his family. He is the quintessential family man. I will sometimes refer to Tony as one of my “kids” because of the childlike behavior he still possesses at even 40 years old! He is a “get on the floor and wrestle/tickle/play” kind of daddy. Tony owns his own business and the way he runs his entire company centers around not only his own family, but the families of his employees. Being able to travel and see the world along side him on business trips is one of our family’s most favorite things to do. We make a ton of memories together!
Linsey is compassionate, humble, and nurturing. She was born to be a mother and make no mistake, she is one of the very best. She is a fierce protector of her children and the ultimate mama bear! Do not assume that because she has 5 children that any of them ever feel neglected because she goes out of her way to make each child feel special in their own way. If she’s not in the kitchen cooking one of her delicious meals or organizing curriculum for the week’s lessons, she’s out on “mom dates” with the kids, playing LEGOS or American Girl Dolls, or planning parties and get togethers. She makes being a parent look effortless and I strive to be more like her every day.
We currently live in a very popular and growing part of the state with TONS of kid-friendly attractions all around. Our city is known as being incredibly family friendly and is one of the safest cities to live in in the country. Our current home is a 2-story, 3600sq ft 5 bedroom/2.5 bath home in a quiet suburban neighborhood. But we are in the process of renovating a home in a small town 10 miles north of where we are currently which will be our new home, hopefully by the end of 2020. That home is a 8,000sq ft 7 bedroom/7 bath and located right on one of the most beautiful lakes in Texas. We have a gorgeous view of the lake and sprawling front and back yards for the kids to play in.
If we are blessed to be matched while we are still in our current home, the baby will stay in our master bedroom in his/her own bassinet until we move. After we move into our new home, we will have a designated nursery area for the baby. I will update with pictures once we get that far in the renovation process.
We are a 24/7 family. We spend more time together than an average family does. With homeschooling and Tony working from home unless he’s traveling (and we typically go on his trips), we are always together and we wouldn’t change a thing. We make the most of every single day. We have movie nights, pool days, we love going to museums, zoos, parks...we explore absolutely everything! We are a Christian family and instilling Christian values in our children is very important. Above all else, we teach how to be kind and accepting humans. We love our life and would love the opportunity to share it!
Birthdays and holidays are BIG in our house! Each birthday is celebrated with loads of family and friends and each holiday our home is always decorated, Linsey is making themed foods/treats, and the kids always have the appropriate attire! We believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy and we make it an incredibly special and memorable experience for each of our children. We love getting together with family and friends to watch college football and basketball and the kids are very involved as well. If you haven’t noticed by now, we do everything big in our family because to us, big just means FUN!
