Hi! We are Sarah and Kevin. We are a family made through adoption. We struggled with infertility for years before we adopted our 2 kids. Now, we can't imagine our family any other way! We are kind, easy-going and playful. We love to travel and spend time together exploring and having fun! We are stable emotionally and financially and provide a safe, loving environment for our kids. We are hoping to adopt one more time to complete our family.
Sarah is sweet, outgoing, fun-loving and a dedicated mother to her family. She likes to run, do yoga, read, travel and entertain. She graduated from college with a Bachelor’s in Literature and believes education is an important opportunity for children and can serve them throughout their lives.
Kevin is laid-back, super athletic and works as an Aerospace Engineer (aka Rocket Scientist). He is extremely funny and often breaks into song in the middle of the kitchen. The kids adore him and he is smitten with them and completely in love with Sarah.
We live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado in a nice neighborhood with parks and great schools! Our house is 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 4,200 square feet. It is new with a big kitchen, an office and a playroom for the kids.
The nursery is close to our bedroom with a walk-in closet and an attached bathroom. We have a big, comfy rocking chair, a crib and a changing table/dresser.
We have 1 cat. His name is Noke and he's a Russian Blue. He is 14 years old.
We have 2 adopted children. Our son, age 4, was adopted at birth and our daughter, age 9, was adopted from Uganda when she was 2. We love raising kids and are thoroughly enjoying this time in our lives! We are a biracial family and have support and love from all sides of our families. We both grew up with siblings and are still close with their families. Family gatherings are big, fun and there are lots of kids running around.
We celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, the 4th of July and many other typical American holidays. We love entertaining and hosting for big holidays with lots of friends, family and food!
We met in 2009 and were married in 2011. We knew right away that we had each met the right person. We have a ton of fun together, laugh a lot and almost never argue (even though no one believes me when I say that)! We have a very solid relationship that just works.
