About Kerry

Kerry radiates a warmth that instantly attracted me to her when we met… that and her smile. She’s honest, optimistic and thoughtful. She’s very passionate about helping others, and her chosen professions of massage therapy and birth doula exemplify her selflessness. Her innate ability to put others at ease has been on display many times with both me, and our daughter.

Kerry has a passion for the outdoors. Whether we’re going for a hike in the woods or heading to the beach, we both feel that family time is best spent outdoors. Kerry is also a great cook and works hard to ensure a picky three-year-old eats nutritious meals (with the occasional pizza). As a couple, we both have a passion for music. In fact, Kerry plays the piano and hopes to instill a love of music in the children.

About Ryan

When I met Ryan I knew right away he was the man I wanted to spend my life with. I could tell right away that he was very caring and genuine. He has a great sense of humor and we shared many interests from the start. We both love music and Ryan is always open to going to concerts and checking out new musicians and having fun. He is very hard working and provides for our family. When our daughter was born he had no reservations about carrying the extra responsibilities so I can be home more to raise her and also pursue my passions. He’s very generous and always makes sure our family is happy and taken care of.

Ryan is also very eager to help other people and is always extending a helping hand.

Our Home

We have a four bedroom house on a quiet cul-de-sac with other young families and some retirees. It's a really friendly neighborhood and it's nice that no one really drives down our road unless they live there or are visiting. We have a nice sized yard with a playground and a nice patio. We also have a little hill in our yard which is great for sledding.

Our Nursery

We have an extra bedroom that will eventually be the nursery. We didn't find out what we were having with Stella, and knowing we will keep the baby in our room for a bit, we like to wait and see what the personality and what we think will fit decor wise. We still have everything we need for a baby ready to go but we are used to waiting to see and living in the moment!

Our Pets

We have just adopted our first dog! Recently we have been fostering puppies. This last round we foster Ellie with another dog. Her adopter fell through and after being with us for over a week, we just decided she's a great fit and we are happy to have her! She's scruffy and very unique and just felt like she was home. She was house broken when she got here so really, what is better than that?

Our Family

Ryan's family lives in walking distance and is our main daycare when Kerry does work. Kerry's parents living close by and we spend a lot of time there, especially in the summer. They have an acre of land with a nice sized pool and across the street from a horse farm we visit often to feed the horses. Both of our siblings live close by so we see our nieces and nephews a lot.

Our Traditions

Ryan's family is really big on his mom's side so whenever a cousin graduates college or high school, we have a big reunion. It usually takes place in the Pocono Mountains or Florida. Kerry's extended family is in Ireland and we are really close to her cousins for having so much distance. We see them usually every year, sometimes twice. Every other year we take a huge trip to the OBX in North Carolina with a ton of family and rent a huge house right on the beach. It's really fun and filled with lots of kids. We host Thanksgiving at our house every year which we love. The day after, our sisters and their kids come over for leftovers and our neighbor has a Santa that comes to turn on their lights and visit with all the kids.
